Chapter 9
College Year
In the first place, we’ve all been played around. We’re all victims here.
When I walked away last Saturday, no matter how silent my escape was, I still made a scene.
Hindi ko na lang pinansin yung mga curious na mata sa paligid as I hastily stuff my books in my locker and took the things I need for my afternoon classes.
“Hey, you might want to put those things back,” tiningnan niya yung mga notebooks na kakukuha ko pa lang.
I raise my brows at her, “Why so? I need them for later,”
“Classes from 1 until 7 are all cancelled,”
“Huh? What for?”
Amy shakes her head, “You really know nothing about what’s going on around, don’t you? We need to attend the briefing for our first project.”
Oh, yeah, right. Paano ko nakalimutan yun? Dahil nga pala exchange students kami, kelangan namin mag-complete nag four projects, degree program-based, during our stay at Hemsworth. I almost forgot we’ve been here for more than two weeks now. Indeed, it’s time to start one of those works.
Ever since the start of the week, I see to it na hindi ako dadaan dun. By the way, by group yun. I was just forced to go to the cafeteria due to that. I need to choose a group of my own.
Pagkapasok naming sa cafeteria, kapansin-pansin agad na the place was unusually packed with a lot of people. Nasa may east tables yung mga exchange students. Dumiretso kami dun.
“Hello guys. So what’ve you talked about so far?” bati ni Amy sa mga co-students namin sa fashion design.
Five groups daw kasi per project, at i-memerge nalang kami sa ibang exchange students from a different program.
“I’ve heard we’re gonna have a photo shoot.” Says Andrea. How cool could that be?
