XCIV. The Gaunts
Later that day, as the trio are seen walking back to the great hall, chatting among themselves, well Annie and Ron were, Hermione had her nose buried in a book again. They passed a few Gryffindor girls who were giggling, whom stopped at the sight of Annie; one of the girls smiled at her, Romilda Vane her name was
Romilda: Hey, Annie
Annie: [Clearly confused, she's never talked to this girl before] Uh... Hi?
Romilda: Come sit with us
Ron: [Grinning enthusiastically] Yeah we'll sit with you....
Cue to the laughter
Sirius grinned shaking his head in amusement "Weasley, you'll lapping it up wherever you can eh?" ignoring the disapproving looks he continued "Can't blame you mate, she's a real beauty ain't she?"
Lily frowned, she wasn't really pleased about her daughter was being treated, these were the same people who shunned her out the previous year, called her a liar and now they're all acting like it never happened?
Just because she's destined to be someone great?
Annie noticed the annoyed look on both Ron and Hermione remembering the small incident that included Vane. "I bet you wouldn't want to sit with her now, eh Ron?"
"Never" the ginger nodded in agreement.
Annie: [Glancing back at Hermione then at Romilda] Uh... Maybe another time?
Romilda: [Smiling disappointedly] Of course, see you around
Annie nodded as the three started walking to where Ginny and Neville were sat, Ron clearly liking the attention, Hermione annoyed and Annie not so better off
Annie: What the hell was that? People I've never seen in my life suddenly know all about me?
The silver haired witch groaned as she leaned back resting her head across George, causing him to look down at her with a cocked eyebrow, she sighs and explains "I think that was the worst year"
"Speak for yourself" grunted Ron, he wouldn't deny despite everything he enjoyed his sixth year "I think sixth year was rather good"
"Speak for yourself" Annie and Draco found themselves grumbling at the same time, their experiences were different, their reasons for saying so were completely different but they both greatly hated sixth year. Draco loathed it.
"Seriously, Annie? If you could trade all that fame and all for a simple normal life you'd do it?" asked a shocked Theodor Nott
Annie grinned as she leveled her gaze on him "I won't even think about it. I'd take normal any day" she answered truthfully
"Why?"
"What do you mean why? You did watch the movies have you not?"
"But still you rich, you're famous" he argued
"Man I couldn't care less, all I want is a stress free life. With no dark wizard after my head" she replied. She was being sincere, she'd take normal over her life; having the life she had does that to you. At one point she even believed she was cursed, some sort of old dark spell, condemning her into losing everyone she cares about.
She still think she's cursed. If you think about it, everytime she comes into caring about someone they end up dead, if that's not a curse, she didn't know what is.
Theo narrowed his eyes as he shook his head disappointedly "You're odd, very odd"
Hermione: To be fair they've always known about you, it's just since you're the Chosen one now they're more forward
