LXVII. Umbridge

Arthur: [Poking his head back through the door] I'm also covering for Tonks, on guard duty later tonight. So I won't be back until late.

Suddenly Annie's scar explodes in pain. She yelps and claps a hand to her forehead, not expecting the sudden pain

Sirius: [Worriedly] Annie!

She gasps in pain and falls to her knees unable to withstand it. The suddenly as fast as it came the pain vanishes, gasping still and shaken as Sirius helps her into a chair, searching for any sort of other injury.

"Is it just me or it gets worse everytime?" Marlene asked

"Well it's no ordinary scar, and if it keeps hurting there must be a reason behind it" concluded Remus

Sirius: You alright Annie? [He asks knowing she was far from being alright]

Annie: Yeah.... Just... my scar.... The pain keeps getting stronger [Her answer caused Sirius to give a worried glance to a grim looking Remus]

"Yeah a reason that's been kept from her" Lily jerked her head at the screen

"It could be that Dumbledore didn't want to tell her"

"Yeah... but why keep her in the dark, she needs to know, and she clearly wants to" Molly injected.

"Nobody knows what he is thinking" shrugged Fleamont "And it's probably for the best"

Later that day, Annie sits on her bunker bed deep in thought, she doesn't even react nor look up when Sirius enters and sits next to her. She only snaps out of her daydreaming when she hears him speak

Sirius: Annie, I've got something that might interest you! [She looks up and finds Sirius brandishes an old, tattered photo, she takes, and inspects it] This was the original Order of The Phoenix. Found it while we were cleaning.

Annie smiles as she looks at the smiling faces in the picture

Gasps on surprise erupted in the hall, the faces in the picture were present in that very hall, it was sort of odd seeing themselves, their older selves like that

"No way.... Guys that us in a couple of years" Cheered Sirius

"Even Peter's a part?" grumbled Lily unable to forgive him so far

"Hey if the two idiots are in, how come I'm not?" Reggie muttered under his breath

"Don't pout little brother, it's just we're much cooler than you! You're too gloomy if you ask me" Sirius smirked

"No one asked you" Barty retorted

"I don't see any Slytherines, that's discrimination" Evan pointed out offended, even Dumbledore would agree with his statement, he wasn't one of those who judged someone based on their house, why would he not recruit any Slytherines?

"It's because either they died or joined the dark side isn't that right?" Cygnus scoffed knowing it was right, eyes locked on Annie waiting for her answer

"That's correct" she nodded

Her answer caused a long silence to swallow the hall, it was such a terrible outcome. There was truly no other choice.

"That's.... just cruel" A Hufflepuff cried

"The world is cruel" Orion commented with a roll of his eyes but he was disturbed that no Slytherine was spared, it means all the pure bloods either wet dark or died, that's a truly terrible outcome. He couldn't help but wonder which of the two he and his family were sorted into.
