C. Christmas Party

Days after her talk with Hermione, Annie was still holding off finding a date, it wasn't really on top of her list, seeing as she had other things to worry about. But now Christmas was fast arriving. And only one day left for Slughorn's party. Now she really needed to find that date. Especially since Hermione won't allow her to go on her own.

So here she is walking back from the library, thinking about Ron and Hermione, she needed to do something about them. Hermione can't even stand to be in the same room as him. And Ron didn't seem so interested in her, seeing as he got his hands full with Lavender. They were a menace, they were not shy to show their infatuation with one another. They go at it wherever they went, shag like rabbits.

She was happy for him, she really was; but she sympathized with Hermione as well. And it killed her to watch her two best friends fight and there was not much she could really do about it. Not this time at least.

Deep in thought she doesn't realize someone else is in the corridor. Luna who had just taken a turn ended up in the same corridor as Annie

Luna: [Smiling] Hello, Annie

Annie: [Flinching, startled] Godric.... Hey, Luna. How you've been?

Luna: Alright I suppose. Congratulations on your win. I think you were remarkably impressive

Annie: Thanks. So have you had a good term so far?

Luna: [Nodding] Surprisingly I did, it seems that someone had a talk with my house mates and told them to stop calling me Looney Lovegood. Do you have an idea on who it might've been?

Annie: [Feigning innocence] I haven't the faintest

Hermione gives Annie a pointed look for her blatant lie. It was right there on her face, Annie had her moments but she was a terrible liar, especially when she tried to lie to her friends, she's too loyal. A trait she'd always admired in her.

She knew that people had stopped calling Luna, Looney Lovegood, she was glad, her gut told her Annie had something to do with it, but with everything that had happened during that year, she didn't ask, and it just slipped her mind. But now that look on Annie's face told her everything she needed to know about it.

She was right, did in fact have something to do with it, how she done it, she was not sure. What she has done, not a clue. But whatever it is, it sure worked

Luna: Strange. Although I appreciate it. [Smiling as they walk together] I miss the DA

Annie: [Chuckling] Yeah... I miss it too.

Luna: Professor Snape is good. But I think you're a better teacher. I had fun last year.

Annie: I'm glad. [She glances at Luna, she shrugs then asks] Luna? How would you like to come with me to Slughorn's party, tomorrow night? Completely platonically of course....

Luna: [Clearly surprised by the invite] I was never invited to a party before... Are you sure you want to take me? Wouldn't you rather take a friend?

Annie: [Shaking her head] You are my friend, Luna

Luna: That's nice

Annie: So will you?

Luna: I'd love to. Is there anything you'd like me to specifically wear?

Annie: Gods no! Just be.... Yourself.

Ginny chuckled as she shakes her head "If you were seeking, fashion advice, Luna. You've asked the wrong person"

"Like you're any better" scoffed a clearly not so amused Annie. Ginny only snickered ore "I grew up with six boys, I didn't know what makeup was until I was sixteen. What's your excuse?"
