part two
third person povwithout a moment to waste, he quickly ran into the street and pushed y/n out of the way. the car screeched to a halt just in time, saving y/n from being hit.
even though y/n had been saved from harm, she was still in shock and could barely process what had just happened. she looked at hyunjin for a moment before suddenly throwing her arms around him, hugging him tight and starting to cry.
hyunjin held her close to comfort her. he felt her body shaking and her tears soaking through his clothes. hyunjin wanted nothing more than to protect y/n and keep her safe.
as y/n hugged him for comfort, hyunjin couldn't help but notice how nice it felt to hold her in his arms. he felt a connection with her that was unlike anything else he had ever experienced before.
"you're... you're okay?" he said softly. it was hard for him to speak through his emotions. hyunjin held y/n close and comforted her for as long as she needed.
hyunjin felt the warmth of y/n's body and was reminded of the hugs that he used to get from his mother. it felt nice, comforting even.
for a moment, he felt like he was a child again and being held by the woman who loved him so unconditionally.
he hugged y/n tightly and felt the weight of her head against his chest, like a child seeking comfort and protection. it was a moment of pure, simple comfort and kindness, something that hyunjin was not used to receiving from anyone other than his mother.
hyunjin and y/n were walking down the street once again, this time with ice cream cones in their hands.
they were still a bit awkward around each other, but having spent some time together, the tension between them had lessened a bit. their conversation was more relaxed and easygoing, and they even managed to share a few smiles.
y/n was enjoying the ice cream cone and the sunlight on her face as she walked alongside hyunjin. she felt like she was starting to get to know hyunjin better, and couldn't deny that she was beginning to enjoy his company.
hyunjin and y/n walked down the sidewalk together, each with an ice cream cone in hand. the sun was shining brightly and the sky was blue, making the day feel bright and pleasant.
the two walked side by side but didn't really know what to say to each other. It was slightly awkward, but neither of them wanted to break the silence."do you think it's going to rain today?" hyunjin said after a bit of silence.
y/n looked up at the sky and shrugged. "i don't know. what do you think?" she said quietly.
hyunjin thought for a moment before answering. "it doesn't seem like it," he said, looking at the sky.
y/n nodded, not having much to say. as the two continued walking in silence, the awkwardness began to build.
