third person pov
happy birthday to my beloved taefctryhyunjin excitedly stepped into the kitchen, ready to put together a simple but delicious breakfast for his beloved wife. after all, it was her birthday day and he wanted nothing more than to make her happy. despite the simplicity of the meal he was making, he couldn't hide his excitement to see her reaction to the thought and care he had put into it.
after that, hyunjin finished preparing their breakfast and made his way to their shared bedroom. he noticed his wife was in the bathroom, brushing her teeth. he smiled to himself at the sight of her, even in such a mundane moment. she had a way of looking beautiful even while doing something as simple as brushing her teeth.
and so, like this, hyunjin silently watched his wife from the doorway until she was done. then, he stepped into the bathroom and gently embraced her from behind. as he nuzzled into her hair, he whispered in her ear, "happy birthday, dear."
y/n turned around and kissed him, wrapping her arms around him. then, as they parted, she looked into his eyes and said, "thank you, love."
hyunjin smiled back at her and then pulled her close once more. he didn't want to let go, not even for a moment. the feel of her body against his, the sound of her breathing, the way their lips always seemed to fit perfectly together – it was all he needed in this moment.
y/n leaned her head against his chest and sighed. the morning sun streamed through the window and the light caressed her face. everything felt perfect in this moment. hyunjin kissed her forehead and then pulled her closer once more, simply wanting to hold her for a little while longer.
finally, she looked up at him and said, "we should start eating, shouldn't we?" hyunjin smiled and nodded, taking her hand and leading her towards the kitchen.
y/n sat at the table in the kitchen and hyunjin carried over their plates of breakfast. he placed hers on the table and then sat down beside her.
after serving both of them, they began to eat, both of them enjoying the warm and simple meal. every few bites, they would exchange looks or smiles, as though they understood everything they needed to just from a single glance.
finally, after finishing their meal, y/n looked at hyunjin and said, "this was delicious. thank you, love."
hyunjin smiled back at her, happy to have pleased her. he wasn't the best chef but he had tried his best to make her day special — when he first met y/n, he thought she was the most amazing person he'd ever met. she had a special way of bringing out the best in people, including him. they shared everything and there wasn't a single thing in the world they couldn't get through together. when y/n looked at him, hyunjin could see the love reflected in her eyes.
he felt like the luckiest man in the world.
and he would never stop thanking God for this.
"hey, do you want to go to the funfair tonight?"
