y/n's twin sister, haerin, was curled up in their shared bed, sobbing and hugging her knees as she waited for y/n to return to their room.

when y/n walked into the room, it was clear to see that she was in a terrible state. her body was covered in wounds and bruises, and she cried out, covering her ears as she tried to block out the loud noises that were overwhelming her.

it was their father who had abused y/n. ever since their mother passed away due to cancer, he had never been able to understand about what y/n had been through and continuously abused her for being different and constantly compared her to her twin sister, haerin, who appeared to be "normal."

"y-y/n!" haerin quickly threw her arms around y/n and pulled her close into a tight hug. y/n hit her to try to make her let go, but haerin didn't budged. instead, she continued to hold onto y/n, in order to bring her comfort during this traumatic time.

y/n relented and leaned into haerin's embrace, giving in to her sister's attempts to provide comfort. after a while, haerin led her by the hand and guided her to sit down on a chair.

"your wounds and bruises look terrible," haerin said as she wiped away her tears. she then pulled out an emergency kit that she had secretly purchased using hers and y/n's part-time job earnings.

after taking out the emergency kit, haerin began to clean y/n's wounds and bruises. she was gentle with her touch, making sure not to further aggravate the already damaged skin. despite y/n's protests, haerin insisted on finishing up the task.

y/n stood up from the chair, her legs feeling shaky from the day's events. "can we sleep now?" she asked, looking over at her sister with a tired smile. "it's getting late for us..."

y/n sat in silence, clearly uncomfortable with this show of affection. however, her sister had no intention of stopping, and continued to tend to her injuries. eventually, haerin finished up the task and wrapped the wounds with bandages.

after finishing up, haerin took a step back and regarded y/n with concern. she knew that there was no way of undoing the damage that had been done to her twin sister, both physically and emotionally, but she still wanted to try to comfort her in any way that she could.

"is there anything i can do for you, y/n?" haerin asked softly, taking a seat beside her. y/n simply shook her head, her eyes still filled with tears. but despite all of this, she knew that haerin was there for her, providing her with the comfort and understanding that she so desperately needed after everything that had happened.

haerin smiled back, her expression warm and reassuring. "of course, y/n. let's get into bed and get some rest," she said as she rose from her own chair and guided y/n towards their shared bed.
