"Cassidy, I'm telling you to let this shit go. We got kids to worry about. Plus he's my brother and your child's father." Orion pleaded, he had a bad feeling about Cassidy testifying against Onyx.

Cassidy rolled her eyes in annoyance at what seemed to be an act of weakness coming from Orion. In her opinion he was scared of Onyx, due to the power he held in the streets. Nevertheless, that didn't deter her from keeping the malevolent energy she had for the father of her first child. "Nigga please, after all he's put me and you through, you should be the last person trying to get me to spare him."

Orion had to laugh in order to keep from strangling Cassidy. He couldn't stand the irony and vileness within her words. "You one selfish ass bitch." Orion scoffed. "Talking about all the shit he put you through. Did you forget what the fuck YOU caused, all because he didn't want yo' desperate ass. You lucky he even wanna be there as a father to a child you intentionally tried to trap him with. So miss me with that woe is me shit. If I didn't know any better I'd say you not tryna get justice for your father, you're doing this to try to get back at him for playing yo' ass to the left." Orion didn't miss the astonishment on Cassidy's face after he finished his rant. Just as quick as she tried to clean it up with a mug, he smirked in response. He knew he'd read her like a book.

"You don't know shit fucktard, so don't try to flip this shit on me. He's the culprit!!"

"And let me guess, you're the saint that's gonna bring him to justice." Orion replied sarcastically. He couldn't believe his eyes and ears right now. They were standing inside the hallway of a courthouse awaiting to go into a courtroom. In retrospect he was worried about the consequences of his baby's mother ratting, but in the present he was more concerned with convincing Cassidy to keep her mouth shut.

"Yes, my dad gave me whatever my heart desired and I know he would want me to get him justice in return." Cassidy stated smugly.

Orion almost through up in his mouth at the mention of Carter getting justice. He'd witnessed firsthand how ruthless and evil he was. It had him bewildered that Cassidy was carrying on the way that she was, knowing the same thing he did. "You sound just like a person with Stockholm syndrome. That man gave you anything you wanted to pay for his mistakes as a father. This is the same man that abused your mother, then manipulated and verbally abused you on multiple occasions. He didn't love nobody but himself you were a pawn in his operation and money was the expense for you to be it. So once again, tell me why you doing this besides to be petty and evil towards a man that simply tried to protect himself? I'll wait."

Inside Cassidy was seething because deep down she knew Orion was right. But there was a nagging feeling for her to prove a point against Onyx who'd played with her heart. She briefly ran her fingers through her fresh install of raw Indian hair that was in a middle part and smoothed over her givenchy custom tailored maternity suit. Not only was she pregnant but she was scornful as well. Trying to let things go and be peaceful had gotten her nowhere, instead she lost her father in the midst of being forgiving. She was stopping at nothing until she figured out who murdered her father or at-least saw onyx receive a lengthy sentence causing him to rot in jail.
