As usual, Rome entered the house with gifts, having been allowed in by Promise's nanny, Porscha. He had brought a variety of presents, including perfume sets, lingerie, clothes, and toys for the twins.
"Bae, where are you? I have something for you and the kids," Rome's voice echoed throughout the spacious home that Promise had purchased.
A few moments later, Rome could hear the sound of tiny feet and heels clicking against the marble floors.
Rome! Rome!" The twins came running into the living room with a huge smile on their face.
"Yall good?" Rome ruffled Onyx Jr's hair with a smile then gave Opal a brief tap on the nose making her giggle.
"I good." Onyx grinned, displaying two teeth.
"Hey, baby." Promise came trotting in moments later with a huge grin on her face.
"Hi, love." Rome scooped her up in a hug, planting a kiss on her lips. After setting the twins down.
"What's this?" Promise eyed the large gift box with suspicion.
"You'll see in a minute." Rome gave her an uncertain grin.
Promise took a closer look at the return address on the box and her face turned from suspicion to confusion.
"What is it?" she asked .
Rome took the box from her and tried to give her a reassuring smile.
"It's just something I thought you might like." He took her hand and led her over to the couch.
After gently setting the box on the coffee table, Rome took a seat next to her.
Promise stared at the gift for a few moments before finally reaching out and carefully pulling the wrapping paper away.
Underneath the paper was a beautiful 3 piece necklace set with a picture of Promise and the twins.
"Where did you get this?" Promise's eyes filled with tears.
"I had it made at a jewelry shop in the mall. I thought it would be something you and the twins would like." Rome took the necklace from her and tenderly placed it around her neck.
"Thank you, Rome!" Promise kissed him on the cheek once he was done.
The twins were already trying to grab it to see for themselves. Rome placed theirs around their neck and watched as they played with the chain and pendant.
"I'm glad you like it." Rome grinned.
"I love it!" Promise exclaimed. She was used to gifts but this one in particular made her heart melt.
"I knew you would." Rome leaned in and kissed her once more.
After a moment, Promise stood up and began walking to the kitchen with Opal and Onyx jr.
