Gala

The team was lounging at the mountain. Dick was laying on Wally, Artemis sat crisscrossed, and M'gann and Conner were in the kitchen. And Kaldur was doing something in his room.

"I'm so bored." Wally groaned.

"Well that won't fix anything." Artemis glanced at the red head.

"Batman recognized 02."

Wally, Dick and Artemis turned their heads to face him.

"Where is the rest of the team?" Batman looked around.

"Doing other stuff." Artemis replied.

"Go get them. You have a mission." Batman ordered.

Artemis stood up and began to collect the members of her team. She returned with M'gann, Conner, and Kal who looked like he was taking a nap earlier.

Batman cleared his throat.

"I need you all on a mission in Gotham. There is a gala going on at Wayne Manor and there is a high risk of Joker attacking." Batman then motioned to Dick.

"If anyone asks who you are say you are a friend of Dick's." Batman finished.

"Couldn't you have asked GCPD?" Wally asked.

"Though they try, they are...incompetent." Batman said.

"When is this gala." M'gann tilted her head to the side.

"3 hours. Be ready." Batman began to walk away before he stopped. "And please wear something nice." Batman stared particularly at Wally.

Batman walked back into a zeta-tube.

"We'll this will be interesting." Dick smiled.

"Your galas are always interesting." Wally smirked.

"How so?" M'gann was now floating over them.

"You'll find out." Dick smiled big.

The team all looked at each other not knowing whether to be scared or excited for tonight.

-30 minutes before the party-

Kaldur, Wally, and Dick were both changed and waiting in black suits. M'gann and Artemis both wore very nice dresses ,one blue and another red. Now they were waiting on Conner who was having trouble with his tie.

"Dude do you need help?" Wally asked.

"No I got this." Conner swatted him away with his hand.

"Are you sure?" Wally raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, I'm sure." Conner was still struggling with trying it.

"Con we're going to be late." Dick got up from the couch and began to walk towards Conner.

"Yeah but so almost got it." He reassured.

Dick looked over Conners shoulder and realized that he has no idea how to tie a tie.

First he made a bow than a knot and he was finally on track before doing it wrong and knotting it again.

"You have no clue how to do this." Dick said after peaking over Conners should for a little while.

Conner sighed.

"No."

"Just as I suspected. Turn around." Conner turned around and Dick fixed his tie.
