PART 2 of The Contest

Nightwing and Flash(Wally) were standing solemnly in front of a pissed off Batman.

"What the hell was that." He growled more menacingly than normal.

"A friendly competition?" Wally started chuckling but was quickly silenced by the Bats glare.

"Explain." Batman crossed his arms.

"Well..."

2 Hours Prior

"We're being overwhelmed over here."  Artemis said over the comm link.

She shoved an alien off her before shooting another.

"Over here too." Miss Martian called.

"Same." Flash(Wally) dodged an energy blast last second.

"Where is the rest of the JL." Nightwing asked whilst fighting more of them off.

"They say they'll be here in 30 minutes." Aqualad informed.

"That was a solid 39 minutes ago." Nightwing flipped over ab alien and landed end to the Flash.

"You were counting?" The redhead stared at him.

"When am I not." Nightwing smirked.

"Can we focus instead of flirting." Superboy flew overhead.

"Not flirting." Nightwing started.

"Just playful banter." Flash laughed and sped off with 4 aliens on both of his arms.

"Sure, sure." Artemis rolled her eyes before kicking a gun out of an aliens hands.

They fought in silence that was quickly overtaken by the grunts and the yells of the enemy.

"They just keep coming." Artemis yelled from behind a rock.

Dick snorted before responding, "Coming."

Artemis couldn't help herself and tossed an alien gun at him.

Unbeknownst to her, that one was loaded and as soon as it hit the ground it shot out a powerful beam of energy.

Nightwing lost all of his vision within seconds and was rendered partially blind due to the makeshift flash bang.

"Nightwing, get up." Artemis yelled through gritted teeth.

When Nightwing didn't respond she became more concerned.

"Nightwing?" She watched him rub his eyes then look around.

"Dude...I'm blind." Nightwing said into the comm link.

"Repeat?" Is all the blonde could get out.

"I can't see. Everything is white." His voice changed from joking to more serious in an instant.

She cursed under her breath and swiftly moved from behind the rock only to be forced back by shots coming at her.

"Flash!" She yelled to him.

Wally turned in an instant and saw Nightwing on the floor and an alien pointing a weapon similar to a dagger at his neck.

Seconds turned into milliseconds and the Flahs was immediately in front of the blade.

Unfortunately for him, the blade made contact with his skin and it tore through a muscle forcing Wally to a knee.

Luckily for the both of them, Superboy flew over and snatched the alien from where he was standing which left Nightwing and Flash in the middle of a battleground.

"You oka-" And then it happened.

Almost as fast as Wally had ran to save him, Nightwings hand came flying and made contact with Wally's butt.

Flash lost all his stability and collapsed on the ground while Nightwing began cheering for himself.

His teammates stared at him with a look of shock before snorting and chuckling slightly.

"Betrayal." Wally muttered under his breath.

Just then, a shadow fell upon the two of them.

"Hey B." Nightwing chuckled nervously.

PRESENT

"And that's about it." Nightwing finished.

Batman stared them both down.

Then he turned around flicked his cape to make his dramatic exit.

The Dick and Walt just shrugged at each other before making their way to the nearest zeta tube.
