Y/n POV
There was a heavy weight on your shoulder as you woke up. Groggily, you opened your eyes and looked at the weight bringing you down. Quackity was resting his head on your shoulder, sound asleep.
Your felt your heart jump in your chest. But you couldn't come up with an answer to why. Quackity's soft snores echoed throughout the room, giving a nice ambiance.
As you woke up more, you could actually tell what was happening. Quackity was curled into your side with an arm around your waist. You had yours around his body as well. His face was very close to yours so now you could see the small intricacies of his face.
His scar going down his face was healed over, but still noticeable. There was small freckles dotting his cheeks and nose. You never noticed those before, but you thought they were beautiful.
You've never called anyone beautiful before, but now you had the urge to say it over and over again. Over and over until your voice went hoarse. Over and over again until it hurt to speak.
Quackity inched towards you slightly in his sleep. Almost like he had done this before and it was second nature. Your heart stopped for a second, you didn't want to wake him up. Fear shot through your body for a second, you would feel horrible if you woke him up from doing something stupid.
Your mind raced again as he started to shuffle in his seat again. Quackity made a noise you couldn't identify as anything other than a groan as he woke up. He rubbed the sleep away from his eyes as he got off of your shoulder.
"Ugh, what happened..?" He whispered, his voice raspy and hoarse from sleep and crying not too long ago.
"What do you remember?" You replied in a whisper. Not wanting to wake Quackity up quickly. He told you once upon a time that he always woke up slowly and if he woke up quickly he would be grumpy the whole day. You laughed and shrugged it off then but now you were glad you remembered it.
After you asked him his face morphed into an expression of embarrassment.
"Oh- uhm. I- I remember..." He spoke nervously. Obviously stuttering. The next part he threw out fast so he didn't have to go through the embarrassment that came with it. "I cried then fell asleep."
"Well, that's about it. Nothing other than that." You muttered. You wanted to ask him about why he was crying, you were scared, but you did it. "W- why were you crying?"
Quackity's eyes widened slightly and turned to face you. You could tell he was having trouble deciding what to say.
"I..." Quackity trailed off. It was almost like he wasn't in a conversation at all. It was only after you brought him back to reality did he speak.
"Quackity? Are you okay?" You asked, putting a hand on his knee.
He looked at your hand then at your face.
He stuttered out the next words quietly. "I- I thought you-" he paused and put a hand to his mouth to keep back a choke. "I thought you were dead! I had no clue how many lives you had and when I got here I couldn't find you! Gods, I was so scared. Don't do that ever again!"
