"𝐀 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲?" 𝐉𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐲𝐧𝐧 𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐬, glancing around the small town. Negan nods at her before making his way to the front door of the building. He bangs on the door a few times, waiting to see if they were any rotters on the inside. After a few seconds, the sound of low moans and groan's came from inside the building. Jaylynn let's out a sigh as she pulls out her katana.
"I got it, open the door." Jay says, Negan nods, opening the door. Jaylynn wasted no time in running into the building, her sword slicing through the soft skulls of the dead. There were more of the dead then Jaylynn expected, the ganged up behind her and in front of her. She moved her sword fast, trying to take them all down before getting bit.
As she took out the last of them, she turns towards Negan, seeing him still standing by the door. Another growl of the dead could be heard, Jaylynn turned around quickly, but it was too late, the dead tackled her to the ground. Jaylynn used all of her strength she had to keep the walker from biting down on her skin.
"Need my help?" Negan asks, Jaylynn groan's trying to push the dead corpse off her, but she couldn't. Negan didn't need an answer to go help her out, Jaylynn may like to do shit on her own, but there are just some things she needs help with. Negan swiftly slams Lucille in the head of the walker, making sure not to harm Jaylynn in the possess.
He lowers his hand for Jaylynn to take but she slaps it away, getting up on her own. Jaylynn was raised like this, to be independent. Her father used to always tell her and her sister that your weak if you need someone else to do shit for you. It's funny because her father was apart of the military yet and they are based upon team building and the saying 'there's no I in team' bullshit, but her father still believed that if you need someone to help you with anything you are weak. She still has the mindset to this day, the army didn't work it out of her.
"I didn't need you help." Jaylynn says as she wipes the black gooy blood from her face.
"If I didn't help you, you'd be that walker's lunch and I'd be down a Lieutenant." Negan remark's, walking further into the library.
"I had it under control Negan." Jaylynn remark's, following close behind her boss as he strums through some of the book, trying to find some that catch his attention.
"Except you didn't. You know it's okay to ask for help." Negan glances over his shoulder at the brunet girl. She rolls her eyes, putting her Katana back in it's holder.
"Whatever." Jaylynn sighs in defeat, she watches her boss grab out a few book's, glancing over the cover's before putting them back.
"You read?"
"Negan, I was an English teacher." Jaylynn remark's sarcastically. Negan chuckles at her, glancing back at the books.
"My wife Lucille used to have me read her favorite book, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen to her when we couldn't use the generator cause of the walkers." Negan open's up, Jaylynn smiles at his words. He must have really loved Lucille to name a bat after her, even if that is a silly gestor, it's something he always seems to keep close to him. Something special.
"What was she like?" Jaylynn asks, she knows she must have died after the world went to shit, and she must have been something special to get Negan to settle down. I mean now he has like five wives.
"She was one of the best parts of my past life, She brought out the best in me and when she died, the worst. I didn't deserve her." Negan says truthy. Jaylynn glances at the ground, not knowing how to comfort him or if she should.
"She must have been something special." Jaylynn smiles at Negan.
"Were you ever married?" Negan asks, Jaylynn shook her head, eyes going wide.
