The heavy black door let out a spine chilling hiss as I began to open it.

"I am right here....." Loe's words were cut short as a blast of cold darkness slammed into causing me to lose my balance.

Slowly opening my eyes I found the creature that had haunted my dreams as a child sarong at me threw my window.

My eyes let the dark creature as a small candle near my bed blew out. Turing my eyes back towards the window, the creature's face began to morph into a shadow as black as night.

"Prudence!" I heard my mother shout outside my bedroom door. "Open up the door baby!" I heard her desperate screams.

However I was frozen to the spot as the creature seemed to almost smile as tears began to stream down my red cheeks.

Moments went by slowly as I was frozen in place looking at this creature before me. Then I heard my mothers screams stop as the room went silent.
"Prudence, you are not alone. Remember that and whatever it is can not hurt you." I heard her say outside my door.

Glancing at the door I began to cry harder as all I wanted was my mother. However I knew if I made any movements that creature would break in.

"I can't move! Mommy, all I want is you to hold me!" I screamed back at the locked door.

"Prudence please. You are not alone." She said in a desperate cry as I turned my eyes back onto the creature.

A memory flashed in my mind as I remembered my mother telling Paige and I about how we are never alone.

Closing my eyes I pictured us sitting near our mother by the fire as she told us stories in the Bible.

"Even when it seems as if no one is there to save you, always remember that God is with you always." I heard her voice in my mind

Opening my eyes I began to move closer towards the window as the creature let out a deep sinister laugh.

"I am not alone!" I shouted towards the window as I lifted my little fingers towards the shadow.

The creature made the most horrific scratch as the window blasted into tiny pieces.

Coving my face I threw myself onto the ground as I felt arms sound my waist and begin to haul me backwards.

"Get up Prudence. We must follow the plan." I heard Paige say as she dragged me into my closet.

Grabbing a hold of my cheeks she began to yell, "Prudence stop screaming you will alert the guards." She said, causing me to remove my hands from my face.

We hid in the makeshift tunnel and we found that rooms were connected. I watched as Paige stuck her head out to see if the coast was clear.

She began to slowly move some clothes that were hanging up and started to  crawl out of the closet into her room.

Once she made completely sure the room was clear she reached her hand out towards me.

"Stand here and I will find something to help us crawl out of my window." Paige said as I stared at her closed door.

"Paige, something doest feel right." I mumbled as she was starting to put a foot stool under the window.

"It's probably nothing Prue. I think I have everything we need in this bag." She began to say as everything began to unfold.

*Bang*

The door flew off its hinges as I took my eyes off of the hidden entrance. I saw a soldier push my mother down as she was trying to save our Aunt Ruth.
