As the carriage rocked unsteady on the rocky snow covered ground.

I let my fingers dance across the worn journal entry. Glancing up I noticed Aunt Rose.

I watched as she moved the curtain in front of the window to take a peek of the desolate white space outside the simi warm carriage.

"Aunt Rose, what do you know of the birth mark on Prudence's shoulder blade?" Paige questioned as he looked towards Aunt Rose.

"I never realized you had a birthmark." Aunt Rose said, dismissmissing Paige.

"Sure, Aunt Rose!" Paige spat before showing me Lady Shadwells journal.

"It claims that most that bear this mark, God has only given them one type of gift. However, on rare occasions when he is most needed to intervene he will bestow all the gifts on one or two people in different generations."

Paige finished as she pointed to where it was stated in the journal.

Looking up from the dust covered book I watched as Aunt Rose seemed to become more anxious as Paige began to tell me even more facts about the gifts I have.

"You do know something." I said pointing towards Aunt Rose as she began to bite her fingernails.

"I was sworn to keep it a secret and that is how it shall remain." Aunt Rose said as she looked out the window once more.

"Who told you to keep it a secret?" Paige asked as we both stared at Aunt Rose as if we were but children once more. Begging her for one more sweet pie.

"Your father." She said blankly as a memory of my father and mother came into view in my mind.

"They both must know what they are and who they are destined to become."

I faintly heard my mother say as Paige and I hid ourselves behind the bookshelf.

"We shouldnt listened to their conversation." I whispered towards Paige, who motioned for me to be silent as our fathers footsteps grew closer.

"The world we have brought our girls into is dangerous. If they know the truth they will be in more danger than them being oblivious to the truth!"

I heard my father scream towards my mother who began to softly sob.

"What happens when they start to show their gifts? Because I started demonstrating my gift of healing when I was just a young girl!"

I heard my mother shout as the memory became hazy.

"Prudence!" I heard Paige shout as the world around me became upside down.

Everything around me seemed to slow down. I watched Paige reach for me as the journals were thrown around.

Closing my eyes I prayed for the world to stop spinning as I felt my body land with a loud thud against the roof of the carriage.

Slowly my eyes fluttered open and the sound of silence was broken by the sheets covering the windows begging to be blown in every direction by the wind outside.

The bright light coming from the windows convinced me as I stared up at them.

I began to feel ice cold wetness dampen my coat as I watched Aunt Rose slowly begin to move towards me.

Once she was over me I focused on the words that began to spill from her lips as I noticed something had cut her brow.

"Prudence! Are you alright! Your beeding!" Aunt Rose screamed as she gathered my head into her lap.

A shadow of a large man covered the carriage as I looked over Aunt Rose's shoulder to see Kayden ripping the door open.

"I am fine." I mumbled in a husky whisper as She helped me to my feet.

"Are we turned over?" I asked as Kayden reached out his hand for me to take.

Once I was back on cold solid ground I watched as Kayden helped Aunt Rose out of the carriage.

"Where is Paige?" I asked as Henry placed a warm blanket around my cold shoulders.

"I found her!" I heard Ralph say in a loud voice as he emerged from a steep incline of snow and trees.

My heart dropped as I saw my sister limp in his large embrace.

"Paige!" I screamed as I ran towards her, knocking the warmth of the blanket down on the snow covered ground.

"Lay her down here." I heard someone say as all I could focus on was the blood seeping into the pure white snow covered ground.

It felt like an eternity before I was able to wrap my arms around Paige's cold body as I felt for a pulse.

"Her pulse is weak Prudence." I heard someone say as they placed their hand on my shoulder.

"No...No....No" I mumbled under my tear filled sob as I pushed her blood soaked hair out from her face.

"Please Lord!!!! I know you can heal her and bring her back from the grave! I trust in your will!" I screamed up towards the heavens as I waited for a response that never came.

"I am sorry Prudence." I heard Henry say as he leaned over towards Paige and closed her blue eyes.

Feeling as if I had been ripped to part I clung onto Paige as I continued to pray.

"Prudence!" I heard someone shout after a few minutes. However I was in too much pain.

I felt a warm electric feeling rush through my body as I felt Kayden come from behind me and raped his arms around my waist.

"Look Prudence." He whispered.

Slowly I blinked away the tears as a bright silver light began to flow from my fingertips and sink into Paige.

"What is it doing?" I heard Ralph ask as he held my sister's hand.

After a few moments of everything, even the wilderness seemed to be focused on what was going on. I saw her chest rise and fall in a steady rhythm.

"She just brought her back to life!" I heard one of the warriors say.

"No it was her God that she has spoken of." I heard Henry interject as a smile stretched across my face.

"What happened?" I heard Paige mumble as she took in all the people surrounding her.

"Thank you Lord!" I shouted as I wrapped her in my arms.
