A/n: I saw a few movies last night that gave me this idea for the book, so.. For accuracy.. Raine is taller than eda

A pretty big company, and down in the insurance department, eda, Raine, and Darius worked together. "I'm actually not sure, rainestorm.. Gay boy and thoughts?" Eda asked. "Who cares, kids are easy to take care of, just feed them, water them, and give them a screen" Darius said, shrugging his shoulders. Eda looked at Darius, with a complete mom death glare. "I'm sorry... EASY!?" Eda asked. Darius jumped at eda's sudden yelling. "Eda come on, Darius doesn't know anything, just calm down" Raine said, as they wrapped their arms around her. Eda kept glaring at Darius the entire time, while Darius was praying Raine was enough to hold her back. "Walnut, you can't stare a hole in his head" Raine said nonchalantly, while looking at paper work. Eda grumbled, but decided to leave it alone.
When eda went home, she saw her husband on the couch drinking beer. Eda was pleasantly surprised to see her two children went running around wild as they usually did when she came home. "Hey honey" eda said, as she closed the door. No answer. Eda rolled her eyes, this.. Was something he did often so eda learned to not be bothered by it.
Eda went over to the kitchen, she didn't see her kids lunch boxes, so she assumed Jack actually put them up this time. However.. It was quiet. Way to quiet. Eda went into Luz and kings room, but they wernt there. Eda Immediately started panicking. She hurried, to the living room where her husband was. "Jack!! Where are the kids!?" Eda asked frantically. "Uh.. Oh! Yeah, I forgot to pick them up" he said, not even looking at her. Eda froze, then rushed and grabbed her keys. Right as eda went out the door, a car drove up. Eda saw that the car belonged to her sister.
Luz and king came out the car, with Lilith, and ran to her. "Mommy!" The both yelled. Eda sighed in relief and hugged her children. "You two go inside, a d go straight to your room, alright?" Eda Instructed. "But I want crackers!" King argued. Eda chuckled, and russled his hair. "Il give you some later" eda said "Luz.. Take your brother please" eda said. Luz nodded. And grabbed kings hand, and went inside. Lilith looked at eda, slightly worried and confused. "Edalyn.. I saw them trying to hitchhike home.. What happened?" Lilith asked. "I-i just got home! Jack forgot to pick them up apparently.. " eda said, as she looked down. "Thats not right.. If you want I can start bringing them home" Lilith offered. "No.. No.. It's fine, il deal with it" eda said.
When she went inside, eda started making dinner. She knew she had to talk to Jack about this, but she would wait untill her children went to bed.
While eda was cooking, Jack came in the kitchen, and stood next to her. "Smells good, doll" Jack said, leaning over her. "Thanks, wanna help?" Eda asked. Jack scoffed. "You do it better than me" he said, and walked off. Eda sighed, and shook her head. She could tell by the sarcastic tone in his voice it wasn't a compliment.
When eda finished, dinner, whe already had Luz and king at the table. Luz was reading one of her books, while king had Francois next to him. "Eda put their plates in front of them, then took luz's book, and kings toy and out them down on the counter. " hey! I wasn't done reading that!" Luz complianed. "Francois eats with me!" King also complained. Eda chuckled. "You can have them back after dinner" eda said with a small teasing tone. "Mom, wheres dad?" Luz asked. "Uh.. I actually-" eda stopped when Jack grabbed his keys and left for the door. Eda stook up, and stopped him before he left. "Hey, where are you going?" Eda asked. "Out" he said, not bothering to say anything else. "Well.. I just finished dinner.. And.. " eda was cut off. "Il be back later" he said, then just left.
Eda sat back down with Luz and king, slightly upset at the situation. "Mom.. Why did dad leave?" King asked. "Ah.. Um.. Your father had to work late.." Eda said, wishing that was the case. "I thought dad only had to work half the day" Luz said. "Um.. Dont worry about it.. Daddy will be back later" eda said, as she dismissed the conversation.
By 8:30 eda had both Luz and king tucked into bed, while eda waited for her husband not come home.
Jack didn't get home untill almost midnight, and when he did eda was there. "Where were you?" Eda asked, with her arms folded. "Just out" Jack answered, rolling his eyes. "Out.where!?" Eda asked again. "Just with a friend" Jack said. "And why didn't you pick up our children!? Who knows what would of happened to them if my sister didn't find them!?" Eda yelled. "Children?" Jack asked. "Yes Jack! We have 2 kids!" Eda yelled. "No, you only gave birth to one of them" Jack said back in a rude tone. Eda stood there, angry, and very insulted by what he just said. "Luz is our daughter! Weather I gave birth to her or not" eda said, as she got angrier. "Shes not ours!" Jack said back. Eda started at him for a second, then left, and locked her self in their room. As Jack tried to open the door, he couldn't get in. "Eda! Doll! Open the door" he demanded. "Sleep on the couch!" Eda said on the other side of the door. And didn't speak to home for the rest of the night.
Meanwhile, eda wasn't the only person having relationship problems. Raine was at the table of their apartment, waiting for their girlfriend to get home. It was about 2 am, and she still wasn't back. Raine sat there wondering where she was hoping she was okay.
When Stephenie finally got home, she was wasted, and looked like a hooker. "Steph! Where were you!? I was worried sick" Raine said, as they checked her Facebook to make sure she wasn't hurt. "Ugh! I'm fine, get off" Stephenie said, and pushed them back. "Why are you out so late? Something could if happened to you" Raine said, hoping for an honest answer. "Just out, with a friend" Stephenie lied. "Which one?" Raine asked. "Uh.. Edalyn" Stephenie said, not really thinking straight. "What? Eda.. Has children there's no way she'd be out this late" Raine said. "Oh my God! Stop being paranoid" Stephenie said, then walked off.
Raine gave a sad look as their girlfriend walked off like that, and also caught the scent of cigarettes.
The next day, while eda and raine were on their lunch break they always confide in each other. "I don't know rainestorm.. It was like midnight.. " eda said. "I'm sure everything is fine.. Luz and king are okay right?" Raine asked. "Oh, yeah their okay" eda said with a small smile. "Oh hey, I'm actually missing a few hoodies.. Any idea where I out them?" Raine asked. "Their not missing.. I took them" eda said with a small smirk. "Oh come onn! Walnut you need to stop taking my clothes" Raine teased. "Mine now" eda replied with the same playful smirk. "Well can I have em back?" Raine asked. "Absolutely not" eda joked. "Pleaseeee?" Raine begged. "Oh alright, you know I could never say no to you" eda said, a small blush appearing on her Face. They both giggled.
Unaware their lives would change this afternoon..
