As the 12th episode of Spongebob came on, Raine noticed eda hadn't come out their room yet. Not that that minded, but they worried about her.
Raine walked in, and saw eda sitting on the floor, with headphones on, but the music was up so loud they could hear it. Sad, depressing break up songs. They heard. "Seeing you with other girls" by Natalie Jane. Raine was not going to stand for this, especially if it ment at least numbing the pain for their best friend.. Who after she met her now ex husband, convinced themself she was only a friend.
Raine kneeled down, and took the headphones off her head, then turned the music off. "Sorry walnut, but your not going to be a victim of depression" raine said giving a crooked smile. Eda tried to clear her eyes, but more tears just formed. "Leave me alone, Raine..." eda mumbled. "Absolutely not, I'm not leaving you alone like this" raine said, as they move a hand to her cheek, and wiped her tears away with their thumb. Eda blushed slightly, then put her hand on theirs. "How am I supposed to be a single mother?.. I was barley managing when I was married.." Eda said, as she felt herself about to cry again. Raine gave a look of sympathy, they hated seeing eda cry. "Dont cry like that eda.." Raine said. "Your gonna get through this.. I promise" raine said in a confronting voice. Eda looked down, then shook her head. "You don't know that.. I'm a terrible mother.. King could have been taken by his dead beat father.. Unloved and cared for.. Without his sister.. " eda said, as she started crying again. "But guess what.. Be wasn't, because you came and got him, I was there.. Your an amazing mother" Raine said, as they kept her close. "Your just saying that, because your my best friend" eda said, as she turned away from them. "No seriously, your strong.. And beautiful.. Your kind.. And charming, and a badass mother" Raine said, with a slightly teasing tone. Eda chuckle. "Most badass mother you've ever seen?" Eda asked. "Without a doubt, walnut" Raine said in a small laugh. "Eda hugged them, as she started feeling better. "How'd I get so lucky to have a friend like you?" Eda asked. "I'm the lucky one" Raine said back. "What would I do without you, rainestorm?" Eda asked playfully. "Youll always have me" Raine said, as they stroked her hair. "What are my kids doing?" Eda asked. "Watching cartoons.. And eating starburts" raine said. "Thank you.. So so much, Raine" eda said, as she leaned back to look them in the eyes. "Your welcome, eda"
Eda chuckled, then stood up, and then helped Raine up. "Also why the hell do you always have starbursts?" Eda asked playfully. "A magician never shares their secrets" Raine teased
A few days later, eda and Raine were back at work and of course questions were asked. "No! No! Where the hell have you two been!? Ive been stuck with some green haired bitch! While you two were gone doing who knows what!" Darius ranted. "Yeah.. Sorry, we've.. Been going through something lately.." Eda said in a sort of nervous tone. Darius shook his head. "Jeez.. You two might as well be a couple, you literally do everything together, you even deal with your bullshit together" Darius said. Eda and Raine glanced at each other, then looked away awkwardly.
Just then, odalia came up to them. "Darius explain-" odalia stopped when she caught sight of eda and Raine. "Oh.. You two are back? I really thought you would have been fired by now.. " odalia scoffed. Eda and Raine sighed in annoyance. Eda just then remembered something she had to do today, other than her other work. "Uh.. Hey rainestorm.. I gotta do something really quick, il be right back" she said, and walked off.
Eda went over the the CEO's office, and knocked on the door. "Come in" a man's voice said. Eda walked in, and put her hands in her pockets. "Edalyn, how can I help you?" The ceo asked. "Well.. Um.. I wanted to see if I could get my hours adjusted" eda said. "Oh? Is there a reason?" He asked. "Well.. I.. Need to start picking my kids up from school" eda said. The CEO looked over at a picture on his desk then back at eda. "Well when do you need to get them?" He asked. "Well..3 o'clock actually" eda said. "Yeah, I think I can work with that" he said, and eda internally smiled, knowing she'd be able to pick up her children on time. "Thank you sir" eda said, and left.
When eda got back, she just felt like something was off. Mom senses.. Eda hurried back over to where Raine and Darius were, but only saw Darius. "Darius.. Wheres raine?" Eda asked. "Ah, they went to get some fresh air" Darius said pointing to the main entrance door. Eda hurried off to the door, then saw Stephenie backing Raine into a wall. Not in a sexual way, but she could tell Raine was uncomfortable. Eda hurried over, and heard Stephenie say. "Rainey! Please I'm begging you, I won't do it again!" Stephenie pleaded. Eda stepped in front of raine and pushed Stephenie back. "Back up, whore" eda said in a stern tone. "How dare you! Why I outta-" Stephenie was interrupted, when eda slapped her across the face. "You outta what, bitch!?" Eda asked, Raine was stunned, and actually, slightly ammused by eda's behavior. "Why are you such a pest!? Your life is in shambles so fix that first!" Stephenie argued. "My life is straighter than the pole you dance on!" Eda said with a smirk. Stephenie was about to do something, but luckily, eda was pretty much shameless. Eda Stephenie by the chin, and gave a flirtatious look, with a small hint of anger. "Come on.. Wed hate for that pretty face of yours to be covered in bandages.. Because you can't learn to know when your not wanted..now shut up and walk away.. Before I.. Shut you up, and you'll have to stumble away" eda said in a flirtatious but threatening way. Then pushed Stephenie back, and cracked her knuckles. Stephenie squealled, and ran off. Although she looks dumb doing it since she was in heels. Raine was blushing due to a show like that. Eda turned to Raine with a kind smile. "You alright?" Eda asked. "Yep.. Thanks for being here" rai e said. "Il always be there for ya.. Any time, anywheee you need me" eda said with a smile.
Later during the night, eda had just put Luz and king to bed, she was about to go to bed herself. Eda's phone went off, she'd gotten a notification. Eda looked at it and smiled brightly. Raine noticed this smile, and looked over her shoulder. "Looking at pictures of me?" They teased. Eda scoffed playfully, and rolled her eyes. "No you dork, I got approved for the apartment.. " eda said. Raine hugged her tight from behind, making eda burts out in giggles. "See!? I told you, your amazing walnut, everything nis going to be okay" they said to her. Eda blushed slightly, feeling Raines arms around her like that, and when she thought about it. Jack never held her this way.
