"Lady Rosalie," Alicent's guard announced as her chamber doors opened and her little sister walked in looking nervous, biting her lip and picking her nails.
"Sister, are you alright? What troubles you?" Alicent asked as she stopped brushing her hair and turned in her seat to look at Rosalie.
"Thekinginvitedmetolunchforteayestedayfortodayidontknowwhattowear," Rosalie said very quickly, making it hard for Alicent to understand.
"Ok, how about you tell me again, but much slower?" She replied, laughing softly as Rosalie took a deep breath before speaking again.
"The King invited me for tea at lunchtime yesterday evening, and I do not know what to wear, and I wish to make a good impression." Rosalie finished speaking; her cheeks were redder than a tomato.
"Oh, alright, well, let us go look at your dresses; why don't we?" Alicent spoke softly, squeezing her hand and smiling. She had never seen her sister so nervous about seeing someone, nor had she ever seen Rosalie take a liking to a person.
Both of the Hightower girls sat in Rosalie's chambers, getting her ready for her tea with the king.
"There we go, oh, you look beautiful, sister," Alicent said with excitement in her voice as she and Rosalie looked in the reflection of the mirror.
"Thank you, sister; you don't think it is too much. The dress is slightly lower cut, and there is quite a lot of cleavage showing," Rosalie said with uncertainty filling her voice.
"Oh, so what? The king will not be able to keep his eyes off you, your gorgeous Rose, and the king knows that, as does everyone else. Besides, you are the age of ten and five, the age to start courting a man, and this is a normal style of dress one does wear for such an occasion," Alicent said, shrugging.
"Oh well, I guess you are right. Thank you, sister," before a knock was heard and an older maid walked in.
"Hello, my lady, I come with a message from the king," the maid said, handing the message to Rosalie before leaving.
"What does it say?" Alicent asked, her voice filled with excitement.
"It just says that tea is to be held in his chambers, which I should start heading towards," Rose said awkwardly.
