Viserys sat at his desk looking through paperwork feeling tired it was late and he wanted to go to bed his attention went to the door when he heard it open and smiled when he saw his wife come in in her night robe and a simple dress

"What can I do for you my love," he asked setting the paper he was reading down as she walked up to him

"it is late my love you are still up and I can not find sleep when you are not in bed," Rosalie said as she sat on his lap leaning against him

"I am sorry Rosalie" he muttered clearly tired making her smile softly

"Do not apologize I am not mad nor am I very tired I only wish to make sure you are ok" she assured him

"How are the little ones" he asked rubbing her stomach and imagining it swelling with his child again

"Aegon has fallen asleep and the twins Roan and Helena are in their cribs in our room Helena has been extra fussy recently the maester just thinks she is more sensitive to her surroundings but I worry it is more" Rosalie explained feeling scared for her daughter the last thing she wanted was for her daughter to fall sick

"more, what do you worry?" he asked sitting up straighter

" I worry a fever will take her Viserys it is common in babes, I worry about that" she answered

"ok we will keep an eye on her then, Handmaiden every day all day," he said making her hum and nod

"What is troubling you my heart?" she asked rubbing his cheek he handed her a letter

"Vaemond Velaryon he is asking for support and aid for the fight in Stepstones," he told her with a sigh

"Will you send it," she asked making him shrug "I don't know" he whispered

"you should it is a smart move for the crown those are your men our subjects fighting for the crown for our people. yes they shouldn't have gone to war without your permission, but they need your help your own brother is fighting there he may have a dragon but it is still war they have been gone nearly two whole years"

"you are right as always my love I will send aid, ships, and the resources they need tomorrow it will be set I will call on the Lannisters, and Baratheons" making her nod with a smile

"What else is bothering you?" she asked sending him a knowing look

"I have pushed my brother away time after time, he acts out not to anger me but for my attention I have always thought of it differently but you have opened my eyes and I have seen that I have been wrong" he admitted

"so tell him that Viserys do not let him keep thinking you hate him keep him at your side, he is your brother make amends"

"I will," he said

"Have you heard a word from Rhaenyra?" she asked "No she still is angry with me for sending her on tour " Viserys said

"She will get over it she is your heir she needs to understand the order of things and she needs to marry she is of age women rarely ever get to choose the husbands she should be grateful"

"do you wish you could have chosen your husband" Viserys asked he didn't want to but he did think constantly of the age gap she is 17 he in his 30s she may have wanted a younger husband the thought of forcing her to do something she didn't want scares him

"Well I married the man I would have chosen so I love you regardless of your age or anything else you have given me three beautiful children and a life filled with happiness I have everything I have ever wanted" she assured him making him smile and kiss her

"good morrow my lords I wish to speak on some matters that have come to light" Viserys announced to the men that sat as Viserys called for a council meeting

"I have decided to send aid, ships, and what's needed to the stepstones," he told them shocking everyone

"Your grace people will think you are losing control they will think an actual war has started" many men started to say all at once

"the king your king has made his decision, war has happened lives have been taken girls kidnapped from their beds this is not some piece of land you can fight over, the king is sending help to protect and aid his subject the people he rules over the people you help him rule over," Rosalie said appalled that many of the men didn't see the war at the stepstones important their queen speaking up made them quite down quickly

Otto was proud of his little flower she'd blossomed into an amazing queen and mother

"Ser tulman this is to be taken to Prince Daemon and only him immediately," Viserys told a messenger making him nod and rush off

Daemon was shocked when he received a letter from his brother but when he read it he felt happy and even more determined to get home to his brother and his family

while daemon fought for his life Rhaenyra was bored out she wasn't interested in marriage she wanted to be in Kings landing the longer she was away the more time that whore Rosalie has to put her sons in the place she hated those little brats
