Viserys sat and thought about what he was to do. The man that he trusted with his life had been poisoning him; his sweet rose basically saved his life. He sat next to him and supported his idea of putting his daughter as his heir, even though she had never been treated kindly by her.
He realized he needed to be stronger; he needed to make decisions without someone whispering in his ear about what he should do, but he knew that it was clear his brother could not continue to be his heir.
"Your Grace," a knight said, opening the doors and letting Rhaenyra walk in as the guard announced her arrival.
"Father," she said, walking down the stairs and bowing her head.
"Balerion was the last living creature to have seen Old Valyrian before the doom, with its greatness and its flaws. When you look at the dragons, what do you see?" Viserys questioned his daughter, looking at the models.
"What?" Rhaenyra questioned, confused, "You have barely spoken a word to me." Rhaenyra continued
"Answer me, this is important. What do you see when you look at the dragons?" Viserys interrupted her.
"I suppose I see us." Rhaenyra answered, "Tell me." Viserys urged her to continue
"Everyone says Targaryen is closer to gods than to men, but they say that because of our dragons, we are just like everyone else except we have the blood of a dragon in our veins," Rhaenyra said.
"The idea that we control the dragons is an illusion; they are a power man should never have trifled with. If we don't mind our histories, they will do the same for us. A Targaryen must understand that to be king... or queen. Viserys said, looking at her as her head snapped up to him.
"What?" Rhaenyra was questioned, not understanding her father.
"Daemon is no longer fit to be my heir, and you are my only child, and I am hesitant to do this not because you are a woman but because of your recent actions. If you are going to be my heir, you cannot be cruel, rude, or abusive to your subjects. You cannot use your station as an excuse to slack off of your duty. I will remarry one day and have other children, and if I see that you are not the right person to be my heir, I will name one of them. Do I make myself clear?" Viserys responded sternly.
"Remarry. Who would you marry? The only people that would be an option would only want you for your title and what you could give them," Rhaenyra said obnoxiously.
"I already have someone in mind, and I know with certainty she would not use me for my title or for the title she would gain, and you will do well to remember my words. If you do not change your attitude, your actions will be disinherited."
"Someone in mind... that little whore Rosalie, isn't there rumors about her being your whore? How could you go for her? She is nothing and deserves nothing," she spat at him, angry that the girl she hates might be placed in court and in the eye of the realms.
"I know of all the rumors and things said inside these walls, and none are about Rosalie being a whore, and you will watch yourself when speaking of her," he said sternly.
"Very well," she said, glaring at the floor.
"There is no trivial gesture; Rhaenyra's dragon saddle is one thing, but the iron throne is the most dangerous in the realm," Visery warned her.
---------- the next morning.
Rosalie's dress
Rosalie was walking around the gardens looking at all the flowers, writing her observations down and sketches, not paying attention to anything around her, so she was startled when she heard someone call her.
"Rosalie," the king called for her after asking a few people where the girl might be.
She turned and saw the king walking towards her. "My king, how are you feeling this beautiful morning?" she said, bowing her head softly.
"I'm feeling well. I wish to speak with you if you do not mind." Viserys answered, smiling at her.
"Of course not. I will always take a chance to speak with you," she replied, blushing, making him want to just kiss her for how beautiful she is.
"I decided to name Rhaenyra my heir; there will be rules she must follow in order to keep her status as my heir, and after her coronation, I will bring it to the council's attention on Maester Mellos and Maester Juano's treasonous actions. I wish to see how they do while they think I do not know," he told her nervously.
"Well, I will be by your side the entire time, my king, and I have no doubt that Rhaenyra will be an amazing queen if she is taught how to rule by you," she told him as they stopped walking.
"You truly mean that, Rose," he asked her, loving how being around her was like he could breathe properly. "I do, my king, I truly do," she reassured him before she could continue. A guard interrupted them.
"Your grace, my lady, your father has requested your presence, my lady, for breakfast; he wished to dine with you and your sister," the guard told him.
"Oh, very well, I'm sorry," she went to tell the king. "Do not fret, my dear, go enjoy your meal with your family," he assured her, walking off, smiling.

"I, Corlys, Lord of the Tides and Master of Driftmark, promise to be faithful to King Viserys and his named heir, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. I pledge fealty to them and shall defend them against all enemies in good faith and without deceit. I swear this by the old gods and new."
"I, Lord Hobert Hightower, Beacon of the South, Defender of the Citadel, and voice of Oldtown, promise to be faithful to King Viserys and his named heir, the Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. I pledge fealty to them and shall defend them against all enemies in good faith and without deceit. I swear this by the old gods and new."
While the lords pledged their loyalty to the new heir, the old heir decided he needed to show his brother, who was actually in charge of bringing his whore to Dragonstone, something important, knowing his brother, the king, would be forced to fight back.
"I, Boremund Bartheon, promise to be faithful to King Viserys and his named heir, the Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. I pledge fealty to them and shall defend them against all enemies in good faith and without deceit. I swear this by the old gods and new: "Lord after lord, house after house, pledged their loyalty and fealty to the king and new heir."
"I, Viserys Targaryen, first of his name, king of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the seven kingdoms and protector of the realm, hereby name Rhaenyra Targaryen princess of dragon stone and heir to the iron throne."
