Chapter 27: Horror To Fun

Now it's time for the "big show". They were going to watch a horror movie. Quite scary.

They went to Robert's room and sat down on the bed. It had been 10 years ever since Katherine had watched a horror film. If she ever watched a horror film, she couldn't sleep for nights!

Robert took the remote control and sat next to Katherine on the queen sized bed.

'Are you ready Kat?', Robert questioned Katherine.

She gave a nervous smile and nodded. Robert played the movie.

It was fine for a few minutes. There wasn't any scary parts yet. Katherine had already sinked into Robert's bed. Her hands were already wrapped into Robert's arms. She was already scared.

There was silence in their room. They continued to watch. There were at a part where a couple had just went into a haunted house in the woods. They had just entered the room and bam! The door closed.

'Robert? What's going to happen now?', Katherine whimpered.

'I'm not sure.you scared?', he questioned.

'Yes... I mean no!'

They continued to see. The couple walked towards the hallway when they saw a figure. A tall figure. The couple didn't bother and continued to walk. They walked towards the stairs and climbed when out of the blue the lights dropped.
Katherine jolted and began to close her eyes.

Next they walked towards one of the rooms when they saw a figure. It was a woman. They asked her for help and she turned.

Oh no! That wasn't a scene to be seeing!

She had no eyes and had a wicked smile. She had 7 fingers on one hand and 3 on the other. She had no legs and she was still able to walk.

Katherine jumped out of bed and began to scream. She was running around the room and she quickly switched off the television.

Robert was also afraid and was already hiding under the blankets. He didn't wanted Katherine to know she was afraid.

'Robert! No more ghost movies! I can't believe you seriously made me looked at it! It's so scary!'

There was awkward silence in the room and Katherine walked quietly towards Robert. She sinked into the bed and tugged herself next to Robert. She looked as if she was going to cry.

'Robert?', Katherine called him.

'Yes?', Robert replied timidly.

At that point their room bell rang. Both of them freaked out and hid under the blanket.

'Robert! The wicked witch might be outside. We will not open the door!', Katherine whispered into Robert's ears. She sounded like a 8 year old girl.

Robert got out of bed and walked slowly towards the door. He opened the door slowly. It was the room service man.

'Sir, you had ordered pizza and popcorn. Am I right?', the man asked in his bed French accent.

'Yes. Thank you.', Robert replied and took the food from him and closed the door behind.

'Katherine look! I totally forgot about the pizza and popcorn I had ordered. I don't think we would be sleeping so let's have pizza and popcorn and live the night through.', Robert was helping to change the mood.

Upon hearing the word pizza, Katherine bounced out of the blanket and sat on the bed. She had already forgotten everything and sat down happily.

'Robert! Let's make the mood more better by playing a game!', Katherine added.

'What is it?', Robert asked as he ate a slice of pizza.

'Um... Let's play "Never Had I Ever"!'

'How do we play?'

'Okay! We are to put 10 fingers up and ask questions that we have never done before. For example never had I ever smoke before. So if you smoke, you are to put a finger down. The first one to put all the fingers down loses. Is that fine?'

He nodded and they began the game. Katherine went first.

'Never had I ever... had a sibling before...'

Robert shook his head in disbelief. What kind of game was this? He placed his left hand's pinky down. 9 for Robert and 10 for Katherine.

'Okay my turn! Never had I ever.... got drunk before?', Robert said with a sly smile on his face.

Katherine smacked her head and placed her right hand's pinky down. What an embarrassing time it was! Now it was a tie.

'Never had I ever... skipped classes before.', Katherine added.

Robert's jaw dropped. Was she serious?

'Are you serious? I do that most of the time in high school and even now in college.', Robert answered.

He placed his next finger down. Katherine was winning for now.

'Okay! Never had I ever... drove my car more than 170km/ hour.',

Katherine looked at Robert and gave him a stern look before placing her next finger down.

'My turn again. Let's see! Never had I ever... had my first kiss before.', Katherine answered bravely.

Robert couldn't believe his ears. What was she saying. Wasn't that their first kiss. He decided to play a little game with her.

He placed his finger down. Katherine saw his action and stared at him in the state of shock. He had his....?

Katherine pushed the pizza box aside and crawl closer towards Robert. She held his collar and brought his face closer towards him.

'Who was the girl that you gave your precious lips to?', Katherine clenched her teeth in anger and asked him.

'Don't you remember? It was you!'

'Since when did we had our first kiss?'

'Remember the day when you found out I am Robert? You kissed me willingly.'

'You idiot! That's not called first kiss!', Katherine let go of his collar and got out of his bed.

'First kiss is suppose to be gentle and sweet and... something that's so romantic. But it wasn't like that. So that's not called a first kiss. Or should I say my first kiss.', Katherine exclaimed. She was already lost in her world.

'Also I always wanted my first kiss to be a place where it's always romantic. For example... Over here?', Katherine added. She was already standing at the balcony. Above the cruise, the sky was filled with stars shining brightly and the moon was round and full. The sound of the ocean was relaxing and the mood was already romantic.

Robert walked towards the balcony and took her hands. He pulled her closer to him and cupped one of his hands on her cheeks and the other behind her back. Katherine's hand automatically went to his shoulders.

'I think then it's time for your first kiss.', Robert said.

He smashed his gentle and soft lips into Katherine's and they were already kissing. Her hands had travelled up to his hair. They were enjoying the moment. They kept kissing like they couldn't have enough.

They soon broke the kiss and looked at each other. Robert kissed her forehead. Both of them were smiling.

'I love you Katherine!'

Katherine quickly hugged him and replied, ' I love you too!'
