Chapter 51: The Fake Engagement

Katherine and Sophia were in the garden. Both of them sat down and were not talking to each other.

"You look beautiful Katherine!", Sophia broke the silence.

"Thanks. You look beautiful as well.", Katherine replied to her.

"So what are you doing nowadays?", Sophia asked Katherine.

"I'm actually done with my education and now I'm going to help my dad out in his business before I would start my own passion.", she answered.

"That's great to hear!", Sophia said.

They didn't spoke for some time and Sophia found it annoying.

"Katherine, I just wanted to tell you something. I found out that you're in London and I felt that I should talk to you. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for being rude and lying to you. You're a very nice person and you need to know everything.", Sophia broke the silence, with the truth this time.

"What truth?", the word "truth" caught Katherine's attention. Maybe the truth would lead to the union of Robert and Katherine.

"It's about Robert and me!", she said.

"What about it?", Katherine asked.

"I actually...", she was interrupted by Robert.

"Sophia sweetheart!", Robert took her arm and pulled her for a hug and even kissed her cheek!

Sophia couldn't believe what was happening! She loved someone else! She needed to stop him.

"Robert! What are you doing?", Sophia asked.

"I love you a lot baby!", Ryan and the rest appeared at the scene at that moment and stopped signalled Sophia.

Sophia decided to play along.

"I love you too baby but there wasn't a need of you to interrupt us!", Sophia said and turned towards Katherine.

"Sorry Katherine. Robert is just so random. I wanted to tell you that Robert and I are in love with each other and we wanted to ask you whether you could plan our marriage with us?", Sophia spoke.

"Marriage!", Robert and the rest yelled in unison. Only Katherine walked over to Sophia and gave her a hug.

"I will obviously help you. Robert is my friend and that makes you my friend. I'll do anything for my friend.", she smiled at Sophia and walked over to Robert.

"Why are you all so shock? I'm so happy for you Robert! When are you getting married?", Katherine asked.

"On the day Olivia and Kevin are getting married!", Ryan added.

"Wow! That's so early! Why didn't you tell Robert?", Katherine was smiling.

Was it a fake smile or real?

"I... I... I totally forgot!", he told her.

"Oh okay! Then does your parents remember?", she asked.

"Of course! It's our marriage and all of us remember!", Katherine wanted to answer Sophia but her phone rang.

"I'm so sorry but I need to attend this call. It's from my friend from Australia. I'll catchup with you all.", Katherine walked away.

"What was that Sophia?", Robert exclaimed.

"And what was your problem? Now we have to pretend that we love each other. I was telling her the truth. And when I saw that she was alright to see us hugging and kissing I've decided to bring the matter to the marriage because when I announced it I could see the pain in her eyes. And the phone call was an excuse. She went to a room to cry her heart out!" Sophia exclaimed.
