Find My Way Back - Eric Arjes

As the years had gone by, it became harder to deny the feelings I was developing for Mena and as I swung the car door shut just getting back from Sky View after being gone for an entire year, I froze the moment my sight landed on her. She definitely changed in the last year. I couldn't help but look at the way her body had nicely developed in this one year. Her blonde hair was like a golden halo of curls around her head falling midway over her chest. She had a bright smile as her green eyes were bright as she started running in my direction. My heart skipped a beat as my arms relaxed ready for a hug, but she ran right passed me.

"Miguel!" I heard her squeal from behind me. I turned to look as she had launched herself into Mikey's arms straddling him as he struggled to maintain his balance and stop himself from falling backwards as he carried his bags and her. I rolled my eyes as I grabbed my things and headed toward the house. Well, one thing hasn't changed. She's still a major fan girl when it comes to Mikey.

"You're home!" My Mom said hugging me as she came down the stairs. I just smiled as she doted on me in Spanish about how much I've grown in this one year. I wrapped my arms around her waist and lifted her up in a bear hug before twirling her. At least someone was happy to see me. It was only couple months now before I'd be getting my wolf, so my body was already adapting and preparing me for the transformation causing a boost in my strength and senses.

"Aime, you should stop treating him like a child," Dad sighed making mom turn to look at him as he walked down the stairs from his office.

Mom ignored him as she held my face between her palms. I just smiled.

"Mom, you saw me just two weekends ago," I laughed.

"There's a difference between visiting you and having you home," she frowned.

"Mom, Seriously," I laughed

"You're just like your father!" She huffed, "Just let me be happy your home!"

"Welcome home, son," Dad said walking over and I gave him a hug.

"Thanks, I'm glad to be," I replied.

"How was your stay in Sky View?" He asked.

"It was good," I replied, "I felt like I learned a lot. Christian's something different, but Andrew's great and I can't wait to work with him in the future."

"Yes, well ideally, you'd want to be friends with the future Alpha, but at least you gained a friendship with one of them," my Dad replied. "When will Andrew and Jackson be here?"

"Tomorrow," I replied.

"Good, then we'll set up their welcome party for tomorrow," Dad said, "why don't you go unpack your things for now?"

"And I'll make dinner," Mom said, "after I go see Michael."

I did as Dad said and went up to my room to unpack. I felt a wave of nostalgia go through me as I entered it. I walked over letting myself fall onto my bed as I dropped my luggage at the foot of it.

"I'm so glad to be back home," I sighed into my pillow.

"Man, how did I know that would be the first thing you'd go to the moment you got here?" A familiar voice said from behind me, "Lazy ass!"

I turned to look at Jason quickly jumping off the bed as a smile popped up on my face.

"Jason, good to see you," I said walking over ready for a hug, but he caught me off guard and got me in a headlock.
