Mikey was only a couple months younger than me, and yet, it seemed like forever till his birthday came. Originally, Mena was out here with us and him, but we sent her away once the shift began. It didn't mean she couldn't hear his pained out screams and cries from the house, and because of that, I was in pain as I listened to her cry over Mikey's suffering inside. I tried to force Mikey's wolf out faster by challenging it.
From the aura that had been spilling even before Mikey's shift, I knew his wolf wouldn't like the dominating feeling.
'Peter, stop it,' my father warned, but I didn't. Mena was suffering and the faster he shifted, the less she'd suffer. I barred my teeth letting out a low growl.
Mikey cried out as bones continued to snap, but this one was different from his others as it was deeper and tougher sounding like a growl.
"What are you...doing?" Mikey's pained voice said as he struggled to contain the growl in his throat. I locked with Michael's grey eyes and held them as I tried to force the dominance. "Stop...I can't...I can't hold it back anymore..."
'Peter!' My father growled. Mikey cried out as his eyes flashed gold and his body shifted completely and before I could take him in, he leaped at me knocking me on my back. I felt a pain as he bit my ear and I immediately pushed him away with my paws. I quickly got
to my feet as Mikey bounced back and charged for me again. I moved fast out of the way of his teeth and using my body to deflect his as he tried to go for my neck.
I was surprised by how strong and fast he was and I honestly wasn't expecting how hard it'd be to pin him down like this. I mean I knew I would make him lose it. I knew that him losing control like this and allowing his animalistic side to take over was not his fault, but mine for pushing my dominating aura on him mid shift.
Auras were a big deal during a first time shift, because it influences the shifter and how passive or aggressive the animalistic nature becomes. We're here so when that part of him awakens, our auras give his animalistic nature a sense of unity, security, to know its with its pack giving more control towards its human counterpart. But if it's a dominating aura like I was giving, then the animalistic nature becomes aggressive as it feels threatened and sees that aura as a danger to itself.
The others stood around watching the fight between me and Mikey.
'Shouldn't we be helping?' I heard Jason ask in our group link.
'No, Peter caused this mess, Peter cleans it up,' My father replied back. 'He'll be fine.'
That was my father. Always making me deal with the consequences. I was distracted for a moment and Mikey took advantage and knocked me down and felt his claws pierce my body and leave long scratches down my side as I had reacted fast enough to put a paw against his throat to keep his teeth from my neck. I growled shoving him off and I quickly jumped over him placing my paw on his throat as the rest of my body pinned his to the ground.
'Mikey! Enough!' I growled through the link I created with him, 'I'm sorry, okay? This is on me. But stop! I don't want to hurt you, man!'
"Stop! Stop!" I heard Mena scream. I kept my attention on Mikey, who seemed to be snapping out of it. "Get off of him, you beast!" Mena hit at me and pushed at me, but now more than ever, I didn't dare move till I knew Mikey was back in control. "I said get off of him!"
