1 - Meeting

"Shinobu, you almost forgot!" Kanae, Shinobu's sister, shouted. She was running to the gate hoping that she wasn't too late

Thankfully, Shinobu was still there. She was about to leave before she heard Kanae's voice

"Kanae, you woke up everyone in the neighborhood who was sleeping" Shinobu said while laughing. She got out of her sister's car and walked towards her

"Your favorite butterfly jacket. I don't even know how you almost forgot this. You treat it like it's the most precious thing in the world" Shinobu grabbed the jacket and looked at it for a bit before turning to Kanae

"I wanted to see if I could leave it behind. That was my test" Kanae jokingly glared at her "Really? Leaving your two precious sisters wasn't the test?" The two laughed

"I have to leave my two precious sisters. I don't have to leave this, that's the difference" Kanae was confused before she got her point "Like a test of self-control or something?" Shinobu nodded

"I can see now I still do not have self-control" The two laughed again before Kanae embraced her younger sister which surprised Shinobu

"Don't do anything dumb. And come back when you can, okay?" Shinobu rolled her eyes "I know, I know" She smiled at her sister

"I'm old enough, you don't need to worry. And I always have Mitsuri with me" Kanae rolled her eyes "Don't depend on her too much" Shinobu rolled her eyes back

"Okay that's enough sass from us today probably" The two laughed again. They were going to miss this. The constant teasing and banter between them

"I'm going to miss you two"

"Stop I'm going to cry again"

"Wait let me use my secret weapon" Shinobu laughed before turning serious again "You did great in raising me, Kanae"

Kanae started bawling which Shinobu just laughed at. "That's not fair!" Kanae whined before wiping her tears

"Ok, get going. You still have to move in later" Shinobu pouted "You could just say you don't want to see me anymore" Kanae hit her in the back of the head which made Shinobu laugh

"Idiot"

"Okay, I'll get going. How will you get back your car?"

"I'll visit tomorrow to check the place. And if you're wondering, I'll take the train, don't worry" Shinobu nodded before walking to the car

As she entered she put down her windows. She mouthed "bye" before waving at her sister and turning the engine on

It was going to be a long ride. Around 2 hours to be exact. Moving to another city was something Shinobu expected and dreamt of, but it was still scary

She left the familiar house they called "The Butterfly Mansion," a place she's been living at since she was born

It wasn't just the house, but the people living in it. The ones who made it feel like home. Her two sisters

Yes, she's living with her best friend now, but she knew that it won't be the same

Nonetheless, she can't do anything about it. To achieve her goals, she must study at one of the most prestigious schools in the country

After the tiring task of moving her stuff in the apartment, she finally laid at the couch to relax. She showered beforehand, of course

Mitsuri was not yet in their home. Shinobu still thinks it's crazy she can say this apartment is their home

Mitsuri already moved her stuff in the day prior and was now out for other errands. Mainly buying groceries and other needed appliances they didn't have

One of which being a TV. Since they don't have one yet, Shinobu was just on her phone to pass the time

Not until she heard someone enter the apartment

Shinobu immediately jumped up and ran to the door. As she saw the man entering their apartment however, she stopped in her tracks

Time moved in slow motion as the intruder and her locked eyes. Should she scream for help? Should she run and hide? Shinobu was asking herself but her body couldn't decide

The man raised one of her eyebrows and looked at Shinobu confused "Who are you?"

"I should be the one asking that!" Shinobu yelled, clearly annoyed and angry. Her guard was down now however. She was both annoyed and assured at the man's nonchalant reaction. At least she knows he isn't a violent intruder

"I'm Giyu Tomioka, Mitsuri's friend"

"Don't just enter the place! I thought you were going to kill me or kidnap me and hold me for ransom!" She scolded.

Giyu's lips subtlely raised for the slightest bit. So subtle that Shinobu almost didn't catch it

"Your imagination is crazy" Shinobu got even more annoyed and rolled her eyes "That's fair to think about"

"So you are?" Giyu asked "Kocho Shinobu, Mitsuri's best friend" Shinobu said, putting emphasis at the word "best"

Giyu just nodded before leaving. "Where are you going?" Shinobu asked, clearly annoyed, before running outside

There she saw Giyu holding a big rectangular box

"This is your TV, by the way"
