Shinobu's cheeks turned pink, which is now a usual occurrence when they interact. This time though, it was not because of embarrassment
"And funny" Giyu continued "I mean, look at your reaction right now" He laughed and Shinobu could only chuckle
"Okay, he was just teasing me" Shinobu thought to herself. For some unexplainable reason, however, she felt a hint of disappointment at that fact
"Now say it"
"Say what?" Shinobu asked, still flustered. Giyu laughed "Mitsuri said you're smart but I guess you don't have good memory" Shinobu snapped back to reality
"I have a good memory" Shinobu contested "Prove it" Giyu said
Shinobu's pride was in the line for both scenarios. She wants to prove she has a good memory but she also doesn't want to say something so embarrassing for her
"Please" Giyu smirked in amusement. He checkmated Shinobu "Alright, let's go" Giyu gestured her to get closer and they both went under the umbrella and started walking
Shinobu felt a bit uncomfortable because of how close they were, but did also enjoy it because of how warm Giyu was
Shinobu's cheeks went pink again as she realized how this situation is usually considered romantic
Giyu lightly grabbed Shinobu's left shoulder as he realized it was getting hit by the rain "Why would you willingly get hit by the rain when you could've just went closer?" Giyu asked in disbelief
Shinobu couldn't answer. She was flustered once again. She could feel his body even better now.
Not only could Shinobu feel his warmth better, it was also clear to her that Giyu's body was built
"I want to touch his body" Shinobu thought to herself before snapping back to reality
"Why are you shaking your head?" Giyu asked with a slight chuckle. He found Shinobu's actions weird after he called her cute but didn't know he was the main cause
"Nothing. Just a moment of weakness" Giyu furrowed his eyebrows before shrugging off her weird statement
"Don't you have any shame, Shinobu?!" Shinobu asked herself in her thoughts
"By the way, let's pass by my house first. I just need to grab something that I'll return to Mitsuri" Shinobu snapped back to reality again for the nth time that day "Yeah, sure"
Shinobu got even more flustered as she realized that later, they will be alone at Giyu's home
Shinobu knew that nothing would happen between them, but still thought this whole situation felt like a set-up from the gods
The rest of the walk was silent, but comfortable for the two. Shinobu, though, was still a bit flustered the remaining time they were walking because of her thoughts
They arrived at Giyu's house. It was a typical two-story house. Not too big, but not small. Perfect for Giyu.
Its size is also the size that Shinobu would want her future house to be
She was used to the large estate she grew up in, but as she grew older, she longed for a smaller home
"Welcome. Make yourself comfortable" Giyu plainly said as they entered his house. Shinobu nodded before removing her jacket as Giyu's house was warm enough
Giyu walked to his room to get what he needed. Shinobu sat on his couch as she waited
Shinobu didn't snoop around but saw a picture at a table close to the couch that intrigued her
It was a family picture. An elderly man and three kids. Two boys and one girl. It was clear who Giyu was in the pic
Shinobu knew this house's capacity would be at most two so she wondered if Giyu lived alone or with one of his family members
Shinobu snapped out of her thoughts when she heard footsteps. She thought Giyu was going down the stairs already
"Giyu, who is this cutie?" An unfamiliar voice asked. Notably, it was a feminine voice. Shinobu was surprised and looked at the stairs
Giyu was living with somebody else. To Shinobu, the girl looked like the girl in the family picture. She guessed this was Giyu's sister
"Hello" The girl said calmly and with a bright smile "Hi, I'm Shinobu, Giyu's... uhh..." Shinobu hesitated as she didn't know how to describe their relationship
She didn't know if they were friends already. The girl looked at her, clearly confused as to why she was stuttering
"Friend?" Makomo nodded "I'm Makomo" Shinobu nodded back "Nice to meet you" the two smiled "Likewise, Shinobu"
Like Giyu, Makomo was not the most energetic person. If Giyu is quiet and cold, Makomo is quiet yet warm
She had this comforting aura that Shinobu couldn't describe
"Let's go?" Giyu asked who walked down the stairs "Wait" Makomo stopped him, who then turned to her
"I need to use your car" Makomo said which led to Giyu glaring at her "I'll just drive Shinobu to her place first"
"I need it now, I'm actually a bit late already if I leave right now"
"Could you just drive her there then go to wherever you're going?" Giyu asked, a bit frustrated now
"Nope"
"It's still raining insanely hard. We need the car" Shinobu could swear she could see a vein popping out of Giyu's forehead
"It's already late, just let her sleepover" Visible discomfort could be seen on both Giyu's and Shinobu's face
"She can use my room" The two were less uncomfortable with the suggestion but still would not go through with it
"Please?" Giyu couldn't deny Makomo. She was one his weaknesses. He wanted confirmation from Shinobu first though to see if she's fine with sleeping over
As Giyu looked over at Shinobu, she already read his mind and gave a thumbs up but looking a bit displeased
Giyu gave his keys to Makomo who said thanks before running outside
