Standing alone on the riverside is Lim Y/N, who is currently enjoying the night breeze as he took a sip from the hot chocolate he had in his hand. He gazed vastly upon the dark, focusing on the streetlights on the other side.

He took a sigh, having gone through a tough day with no one to tell it to other than the wind. He took out his phone, scrolled through his gallery and found an old picture, consisting of him in a school uniform with one of his closest friends, Nakamura Kazuha.

He opened their old messages where it’s filled with talks from the most random of topics, to deep talks where they would talk about how their future would unfold. Due to her being a foreign student, she’s now back in her home country where it was decided that she would go back to continue working in her father’s company.

Having been busy with each other’s career has made them drift apart as the messages they sent each other lessens everyday, to a point where they’d stop talking. He was about to walk away from the scene when he heard a voice behind him asking.

“Y/N? Is that you?” She asks.

He turned his head around and was shocked to find the person he had been looking for all these years, standing right before his eyes. Being speechless he stood there in silence as she chuckled before continuing her previous sentence.

“It’s been a while, hasn’t it?”

“Z-Zuha-ya. You’re here. I thought you went back to your country to work.”

“I did. But that doesn’t mean I’m not allowed to go back here, right?”

“Haha, yeah.” Memories kept going through his mind, making him unable to think of a topic to get the conversation going. Kazuha herself wasn’t sure what to talk about since she hadn’t prepared herself to meet him in such a short notice.

“I’m going to go back now. It was nice meeting you-“

“I missed you.” He declared.

Kazuha wasn’t sure whether she had misheard his statement. She then asked,

“What did you say?”

“I missed you, Kazuha. On those days where I feel like talking to you, I can only open our old messages, without having the courage to send a message, simply asking how your life has been. I really… really missed you-“

Just then, he felt a hug coming straight towards him.

“I missed you too, Y/N. I miss you so much. Do you know how long I’ve wanted to talk to you? I was afraid that you were too busy to reply to my messages that I never sent any.”

He returned the hug as they stood there for a good couple of minutes, enjoying each other’s presence to remedy the time they spent away from each other.
