Two Months Later
"Ah, an agent in love is so amusing to see," Stark said with a smirk on his face. "She struggles between duty and the constant pulling at her heart."
I glared at him and looked away so he wouldn't see me blush a little. I had been watching Captain Rogers shoot one of Hydra's men, and was so distracted that had it not been for Tony ambushing another Hydra guy, I would have gotten shot.
"I'm disappointed in you, Agent Carter" Coulson said, striding into the room. "This is very uncharacteristic of you. Is something going on that we need to know about?"
"Oh, she was just a little distrac-" Tony began. I punched him in the arm. "Ow!"
Coulson looked at me and raised his eyebrows. "You and I are going to have a talk later that you won't enjoy."
"You sound exactly like Colonel Phillips," I sighed.
He smirked in his little Coulson way, then left the room. I turned to Tony and punched him as hard as I could.
"OW! THAT'S NOT FAIR, I'M NOT WEARING MY SUIT!" He yelped.
"I don't even have a suit." I retorted.
"Why'd you punch me?!"
"Gee, I wonder why," I said, rolling my eyes.
He shrugged and walked away. He really is clueless sometimes. "Listen, there's a party tonight at the tower. You coming?"
"Mmm...maybe."
"Steve is going to be there." He looked at me significantly.
I sighed. "Is this a test?"
He chuckled as he turned in the doorway to face me. "I set up Coulson and the cellist. Who says I can't set up you and the soldier?"
