Amelia's POV
"Like I could ever be with someone mentally messed up."
That moment kept replaying in my head as I layed awoken on my bed.
It was five in the morning and we were soon going to be heading back to Boston, where it all becomes real.
School starts in less then two months, that time will be going to my mom and basketball, only.
What happened in the car yesterday is in the past, me and Aaron silently agreed we weren't going to mention it.
Maddie and I spent the whole night talking, about everything. She told me I should go for it but I'm genuinely not sure I'm ready for a new relationship.
Even though I try to cover my true self with sarcastic jokes and dark humor, I'm an emotional. Crying is like a daily routine for me.
The alarm goes off, Maddie set it for five-fifteen so we can sleep in a little bit.
What actually was supposed to happen is that we go at four so we can make it to dinner my dad arranged.
It was supposed to be my dad, my mom, Jacob, Nathan, Elliot, Aaron and me. But now I'm not so sure Nathan was going, and my mom..
We hope so, but realistically she's not getting out of bed.
"Hey, Jacob and Nathan just left. You need to get up now, please?" says Aaron, without knocking by the way.
"Fine, close the door on your way out." I respond.
"What if I don't want to get out?" he says, trying to get on my nerves.
"I have to change, Aaron." I say.
He shrugs.
What the actual fuck is going on?
Is he flirting with me?
Why?
Just last night he insulted me and I wasn't yelling at him, I was being too nice.
"Aaron, get out now." I say, and now he gets out.
Finally.
I chuckle to myself and realize I didn't actually want him to leave, I wanted to talk to him, have fun. But its never going to be like that.
I close the door and change into sweats and a T-shirt.
Leaving this place without seeing Diana at least once feels extremely weird, its just wrong. I need Diana right now and I wish more then anything she was here, but she's not. She's doing things that are good for her now and I'm proud of her for that.
Diana has always been the kid that never spoke up, always did what she was told and was always quiet. At least when we weren't alone, when we were she was like a wild monkey. However I'm glad she's opening up to people and going everywhere.
We are all fully packed, the fresh wind of the morning is always cold but ends up being exactly what you never knew you needed.
We all get into the car, this time Aaron is driving, with Elliot in the passenger seat and me and Maddie are in the back.
The minute I lock the doors and get into the car, I fall asleep.
Until the devil awakens me from my beauty sleep.
