Aaron's POV

As we were eating the delicious Pasta my mother made I got a text from Zoe, and because of my moms crazy rule about phones at the table I excused myself.

It was also a very good reason to smoke a cigarette.

I got outside and heard someone behind me, well, not someone, I  knew who it was.

"Amelia, why are you following me?" I say, still facing the front.

She walks up in front of me and looks at my lips, that are holding a cigarette.

"Give me one." She says, with her dolly eyes looking at me.

"Its the last one." I say.

Her hands move up and  she grabs the cigarette from my mouth and puts it in hers, before taking a lighter out of her pocket and lightning the cigarette.

"Why do you have a lighter with you?" I ask.

"For protection, and it really helps when lighting cigarettes, which by the way, you shouldn't be using." She answers, before handing me the cigarette back.

I drop the cigarette on the concrete and step on it.1

"And neither should you, Amie."

"Hey! Why did you do that?" She raises her voice.

"Calm down and don't act like you're an addict." I say, to  calm her.

"I'm not the one that has a pack on him everywhere he goes." She bites.

"And I'm not a minor, darling." I say, damn, best comeback I could've used.

"Whatever, I'm going back inside." She says.

"Me too." I answer and run slightly to catch up with her.

As we sit back at the dinner table my mother looks at me like she's annoyed at me.

"Sorry, I had an important E-mail." I lie.

"Oh! Amelia! I completely forgot to ask you, my dear. Would you like to stay over? I would love to go over some of your designs." My mother offers.

"How do you- uh, how do you have my drawings?" Amelia asks.

"Right, sorry. I'm hosting a little gallery in the community center. I feel like we should pick out some of your bests, so I talked to your mom on the phone and she sent me all of them, on files." My mother answers.

Amelia reveals the shiny smile I've been looking for all evening.

"I would love to, I don't have any plans for tomorrow anyways." Amelia says and I smile to myself. But then quickly stop after realization.

A couple hours later the Williams left and my mom was mooning over Amelia's designs.

"I'm going to bed, good night." My dad says, we all answer.

My mom was sitting at the counter, admiring the projects Amelia has been working on this whole year, while our future designer was on the couch, eating Ben & Jerry ice cream while watching TV.

I take a seat next to Amelia and take a look at the show she was watching

She was watching "She's the Man"

"God, Channing Tatum was so hot in this movie." Amelia says.

Ridiculous, I'm way better looking.

"Oh you're so right, when Natalie was little she had a huge crush on Duke. She described him as Prince charming." My mom answers.

"You know, Aaron, you kind of look like Channing Tatum. Just with brown hair." Adds Amelia, taking a bite of her ice cream.

"Thank you?" I say.

"You're welcome." She answers, turning to me and pointing the spoon at me, offering her ice cream.

I shake my head as a sign of response and continue watching "She's the Man"

"You know there's a theory Olivia is a lesbian and Duke is actually gay?" I say, trying to start a conversation.

"That is so stupid, Duke fell in love with Violas personality. Olivia fell in love with Sebastian's lyrics and music taste. They didn't even know Viola wasn't a guy then, how could they have been gay?" Amelia gives a full on speech.

"Sorry to interrupt, kids. But Amelia, I  think I found the one were going to use." My mom suddenly says and Amelia jumps over to see which design my mom chose.

The rest  of the night we talked, my mom and Amelia jumped around with giggles.
