Amelia's POV

As I was sitting on the bench, cheering my brothers team on, I realized Aaron turned literally pale and took the worst shot I ever seen.

"What the hell is up with Aaron? I don't even know basketball, but I know that's wrong." Maddie says, holding the bag of chips in her lap.

"I'm not sure, maybe somethings bothering him." I say, taking a chip from the bag and putting it in my mouth.

"Well, it can be you aswell." Maddie says, and I get confused.

Why would it be me?

"No, its not. He would have texted me if I was bothering him or something." I pause because of Maddie's widened eyes, but to my assumption that she's confused I continue. "Trust me, Aaron Matthews has absolutely no filter."

"See that's the thing, when we hung out a couple days ago, I blocked Aaron from your phone as a joke. I thought you would've noticed! I'm really sorry." She says.

I take my phone out and immediately unblock Aaron, and the millions of texts dont shock me one bit.

Aaron : Amelia, I want to wear number thirteen this weekend. Please make sure to fold it correctly.

Aaron : Don't ignore me, I know you're always on your phone.

Aaron : Is everything okay?

Aaron : Where are you?

Aaron : You're worrying me

Aaron : Are you mad or something?

Aaron : Fine, Ill see you Sunday.

And then like a million of missed calls from him.

The game went fine, Aaron didn't score at all. But we won, its not a problem, at least not a big one.

Aaron practically runs outside and I run after him, despite the fact that my brother came up to me.

"Aaron, can you please stop, we have to talk." I yell, trying to get him to listen to me.

"Of course, so then you can ignore me completely?" He says, turning around and letting me catch up to him.

"Its a long story, I'm really sorry. I didn't ignore you though, I only got the messages now!" I try to explain. I didn't want to bring Maddie in a drama, she was more important to me then anyone right now.

"Fine, alright. Its all good, just please stop following me around." He says.

I couldn't realize what was going on, butterflies in my stomach, memories flashing back.

"I'm not following you around, Aaron, I think I have feelings for you. And I know its bad timing, especially because you're mad but I cant hide it from myself anymore and I-" I say, but get cut off by Elliot's loud cheering.

I was still facing Aarons now pale face while Elliot hugged me from behind and kissed me on the head, and while he small talked with Aaron a hump of regret came to my stomach and guilt replaced the butterflies.

"I'm going to go change, yall wait for me." Elliot says and jumps to the changing room.

Aaron and I were just staring at each other when I decided to break the silence.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that. I know it hurts you and-" I say, but get cut off by Aarons dark voice.

"The only thing that hurts me is the feeling of not being able to kiss you right now." He says and I turn red.

"Its a big pain, Amelia." He adds.

"What the hell are we supposed to do now?" I ask, putting my hands on my head.

"Go to the afterparty, I guess." Elliot comes out of nowhere, and Aaron winks at me while he catches up with Elliot's fast walk.
