Aaron's POV

As I was stretching on the court and preparing my self for the game upon me, Amelia came up to  me and my friend Jackson.

"Aaron, your banana." She said, towering over me. Because I was sitting, obviously.

I took the banana and smiled at her, she walked past me and went to Elliot, who was standing under the basket and throwing the ball in it. From the behind.

Suddenly, as I was pulling my leg Jackson spoke somewhat quieter.

"Dude, is that your girlfriend? If she is, damn. You're really lucky, she's gorgeous."

My shocked eyes widen and I punch Jackson to the shoulder, and I would be lying if I said I did it lightly.

"Jesus, its Elliot's sister. And she's taken, so fuck off." I angrily said.

Jackson starts laughing and gets up, walking over to the rest of the guys.

Amelia gets on the benches and talks to Maddie, whos sitting next to her.

The whole time were warming up, I was doing extremely shitty. The problem though, is that Im captain, I play without a break. But I'm well aware that I'm probably going to ride the bench as soon as that ball gets in my hands.

"Aaron, pull yourself together. If we don't win, we wont qualify for the league." Says Elliot, interrupting my staring and thankfully pulling myself together.

However, every shot I took I missed, I  couldn't pull Amelia out of my head. I texted her fifteen times and she never answered, also, that little comment that Jackson made triggered me. I felt like I wanted to rip his head out and use it as a basketball.

In the middle of our warm up drill I got called to talk to my coach, privately.

"Aaron, what the hell is wrong? Why are you shooting like a bitch?" My coach yelled, with a slight Russian accent. He was tough, its what made him such a good coach.

I just stared at him, not knowing what to answer.

"Pull yourself together, you're the captain. Your reputation is on the line, especially after the stunt you pulled in Florida." My coach yelled again, and tapped my shoulders before letting me go.

Obviously, everyone knew what happened in Florida. I just hated when somebody brought it up.

I ran back into the court and shook my head in disbelief, never ever in my life have I ever been so bad as I was today, and the game hasn't even started.

Yet.

Moments after the thought I had the jury whistled for a beginning. I was taller then anyone on my team, so I always jumped for the ball.

And when I did, we got the ball.

My ears started ringing, I didn't feel like myself.
