Consciousness was a commitment.

One that they rarely had the ability to hold.

Drannus was conscious now, for how long they didn't know. When was the last time they were awake?

What has happened since the last time?

It felt... different?

They couldn't put an idea on it, too empty to really think on it too much.

A spark.

Drannus latched onto it.

The world outside was very different from the last time, which meant their time between consciousness was becoming few and far between.

It worried them slightly.

Their head hurt.

Consciousness was slipping again.

Next time, they told themself, they would get out of this ridiculous void.

They would destroy it.

The thought surrounded them as they fell back into an unwilling slumber.
