Seraphina

They followed the scream, which lead them to a forest, to an abnormal setting, devoid of plantation except for a large rock. The scream came from that rock and as Seraphina approached, Melody came out from behind. She laughed like a crazed woman and turned to signal from behind her.

The half-gods stood their ground behind Seraphina with their weapons at the ready. From behind Melody, Juno approached with Samael, who blew Seraphina a kiss. She stared in disbelief at the cherub and asked, "Why?"

"They want you and I want Michael", Melody answered. "It looked like a fair trade."

There had to be more and Seraphina knew it. Why would they want her when Michael was obviously their main target? Were they hoping to use her to get to Michael? Possibly.

"You are an idiot", she grinded back. "They are going to use me to get to Michael."

Melody naively shook her head and said, "They gave me their word that as long as I deliver you, I will get Michael."

Seraphina didn't miss the look that Samael passed to Juno, who shrugged his shoulders as if to say 'I had to do what I had to do'.

"You did very well, my dear", Juno said to Melody as he rubbed her shoulder.

"I'm sorry to point this out but it's us against the three of you", Aaron added with a smirk. "Do you really think that you could take Seraphina and not have to deal with us?"

"Actually, it is me and my army against the twelve of you", said an amused voice behind Seraphina.

She turned to be confronted by an angel that she had only seen once. He looked like the older version of Michael with a hair more white than blonde; Lucifer. She heard Melody gasped before she started directing her anger at Juno.

"You told me nothing about this", she screamed back. "You told me that Samael just wanted Seraphina and if I delivered, you would take away your forces."

"I lied", Juno said with a pathetic laugh. "I did what I had to do to advance myself. I didn't want to stay a lord of a stronghold. I wanted to be King."

"And sacrificing your son was one of them?" Seraphina asked with barely contained anger.

"He was pathetic", Juno spat out. "So righteous that it almost made me nauseous and he could've been the greatest commander in the world if he had just gone through with the transformation."

"Actually...he wouldn't", Lucifer added an amusingly, bored tone. "I realised that when I turned some men at Dally that they lost a certain...spark. They weren't cunning and I need a commander who was cunning and can learn her enemy's weakness quickly. I need a bloody angel."

Seraphina laughed and said, "Angels...? You would need to persuade the best ones to work for you first without being turned. I don't see this plan going well."
