Hence, it was due to Michael’s steely determination to get his mate back that lead to him hiding behind a hedge like a common criminal and his brothers and Andrew refusing to talk to him. They were on the outskirt of Tuscany; outside a rustic manor. Michael didn’t recognise the manor but he remembered the landscape; it was indeed a slice of heaven and an image of lazy days and creamy pastas. It was also the entrance to the Rome strong hold, where Michael’s main office outside the Gloria used to be. It was called Rome because before he stepped down from his position, Rome was bigger than it was at the present.
Michael went over the plan in his head for the hundredth time; he did not want to fail. Failure was not one of his options.
He knew very well that Seraphina would have to fly into the strong hold. Michael smirked because he sanctioned this law when he was head archangel to prevent the angels from bringing in things that were banned but can be hidden in any type of transport.
Along with this law, he positioned selected angels to check bags and luggage to quarantine and confiscate any demonic objects. However, he hoped that the law wasn’t lifted.
Suddenly, the seductive purring of expensive sports car drew him away from his thoughts and he looked through the hedges. Three sports cars rounded the corner at high speed with a red Ferrari leading the pack and followed by a yellow Porsche and a black Aston Martin. The three cars stopped in the courtyard of the manor and the occupants hopped out. Seraphina came out of the driver’s seat of the red Ferrari and Michael was sure that her seductive way of getting out was embedded in his memory.
He watched intensely as one toned and tanned leg stepped out in black high-heeled shoes. The long legs were followed by a well-toned body that was clothed in a black dress and fancy jacket. The best part was when Seraphina bend over to pick up her purse before she whipped around to greet the gatekeeper of the entrance, who was an old looking angel. Her long black hair was wavy and Michael just wanted to touch it.
Seraphina remained in deep conversation with the gatekeeper as his assistants came out of the manor to park the car. Then, the gatekeeper, Seraphina and her soldiers moved across the courtyard towards the roaming hills; towards the take-off position. Michael watched as she walked with the authority and confidence of a general and soon-to-be commander. Leadership and humility radiated off Seraphina, indicating that she was made for him; made to be the wife of the Warrior Archangel.
After a smile, the six angels took off and Michael and his brothers did the same. Before take-off, he gave his brothers and Andrew a final glare, which said, “If you bloody screw this up, you will suffer my wrath.” They flew above the clouds while keeping an eye over the 6 below. He wanted Seraphina to be relaxed and if she relaxed, she won’t fly fast and if she did, they were doomed. She was indeed the fastest angel he had ever met.
Michael gripped the gold cords in his hand, recalling its texture. The cord was from his weapon collection. It captured its victims…and never let them go without his command. He hoped that his aim was still next to perfect; it had been ages since he used the cord.
Once he was directly above her, he released his golden cord. Michael watched as the cord tied Seraphina’s hands and legs together. It bounded her wings to her body causing her to fall. Michael plummet down from the clouds and caught the very pissed off general.
“YOU!” her eyes watered with anger and hatred. “You bastard, release me!” She struggled again but it was no use.
“No”
Within seconds, his brothers and Andrew circled around him; putting themselves between him and the other 5 angels who had no mercy in their eyes.
“You will release her, your general or else there will be consequences”, warned a brown haired angel with hazel eyes. The angel was reaching for his sword but a command from Seraphina stopped him.
