Seraphina
She waited until her husband slept after their love-making. Lucifer had his scarred back towards her and his sleep carried him to his side of the bed with black silk. She waited for the 300th breath from Lucifer and slowly brushed the silk sheet aside and eased herself off the bed.
Lucifer liked to wake up alone in bed; it gave him a sense of power and control in his own bedroom. With her there in the morning, it would only serve to ruin his morning routine, which she knew involved killing a prisoner as his morning exercise.
She quickly wrapped a black silk kimono around her nude body and put on her black suede, high-heeled boots. Lucifer preferred her in black and black is what she always wear. Happy that she was properly dressed before she went back to the gods' quarters, she walked out to the balcony, materialized her golden wings and softly pushed off.
Tonight troubled her greatly; it made her agitated and it almost annoyed Lucifer until she moaned as loud as he liked it and used the position that he always preferred.
She just couldn't place a finger to it and instead of returning to her quarters, she flew further away to the pretty gardens that surrounds the onyx palace. She needed to walk off her agitation and so she did.
She wandered through the darkness, with her ball of soft light guiding her. Slowly, she found herself walking towards the docks, where the boatman, Charon usually took his rest.
Tonight the boatman was not there to offer her a hot drink and conversation, so she sat down on a bench against the boathouse. She stared across the river, trying to ignore the sensation to go over it, past the gates and into the human world.
She was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn't notice a gigantic three-headed dog had sneaked up on her until it pounced on her, causing her to fall on the floor slamming her hard on her back.
She quickly materialized her sword, hoping to strike down Hades' missing dog, Cerberus but the creature placed a heavy paw on her sword hand before it said,
"Friend".
Seraphina looked at it weirdly, wondering whether she heard it right. Then she realized that it was a supernatural dog that this shouldn't be weird.
"Help", the middle head said. Though the creature couldn't give her a full sentence, she realized that it came in peace not as a predator on a prey.
"Listen", the left head said. Listen to me
"False"
"What is false?" She asked it.
"Here"
"What?" She demanded it, confused.
The creature shook its heads in frustration before it said, "Water".
