jennie's p.o.v

i feel bad about this. my heart drop in an instant, i thought she's gonna push it until

"kidding, what's your favorite food?" i like how she shift her words. she makes me feel comfortable for some reason.

" i like dumplings, i don't actually know what's my favorite food though" she chuckles and that made me confuse, what's so funny?

" that's given actually." and that made me confuse more.  "what gives it away?" she looks at me and she looks so amused

"your cheeks look like it's gonna explode because of dumplings" then she started laughing her ass off. why do people have to be annoying sometimes, i rolled my eyes.

"I'm just kidding, i mean." she's just trying not to laugh now. i rolled my eyes once more, just cause i feel like it. I can't storm out here since we're already in the express way.

"what irritates you the most?" i asked her. and she just keeps her eyes on the road "when I'm hungry" now she glance at me "what about you?"

"you." i rolled my eyes, i don't care if it's childish. for some reason i feel like I've known her for 3 years and not 3 hours. my lord, what's happening to me.

"still mad about the dumplings?!" her brown orbs is shocked about it. i mean I'm still pissed off about it

"fine, I won't make fun of you now ruby jane" and that's it. i punch her lightly in her arm and she swerves to the right and I'm nervous now. what if we crash. Gosh this is my fault.

"hey are you good? I'm sorry" i look at her, obviously worried and now I'm holding her arm that's 'injured' she looks at me and laugh. she's fucking playing with me the whole time.

" I can't believe it. you said sorry." she looks amused. i just sigh in relief, i really thought this is gonna be the end of me, then i remember her little prank, i punch her lightly but more stronger than earlier. she laugh and she saw a gasoline station nearby, about 1km left.

"do you want to have an early breakfast?" i shook my head then this is the most embarrassing thing that happened to me. my stomach growl and it sounds like i haven't eaten since last week, i momentarily close my eyes and take a deep breath. she's snickering beside me and we soon reach the gasoline station, there's a small convenient store in the side of it. like a gasoline station convenient store

she refill her tank with gasoline while i sit still in the passenger side. still embarrassed. she knocked on my window and mention me to open my window, so i did

"what do you want to eat? we still have 4 hours to go. pretty long drive." i mention her to scoot over while i open my door, and as usual everyone looks at me as if I'm a wanted criminal or a saint. well, people hate and people love me. "you, rest. I'm gonna be the one buying" she tried to refuse but I just shrugged it off. "how about this, you buy the snacks here then about 3km away from here there's this nice little ramen spot, let's eat breakfast there!" she looks so enthusiastic about her idea so i have no choice but to agree. she asked me to buy her a coffee and bunch of chips, she gave me some cash but of course I'm not gonna use it.

two plastic bags on each of my hands, she came running and helped me out. what a gentlewoman, i look at her while we walk towards her car. she's good looking. pretty bangs, doe eyes, cute button nose and lips. her lips. she smiled at me and opened the car door for me.

"wow, this is the definition of yummy" she told me while putting the plastic bags backseat, there's a few cars who stopped by but not that many. since it's still too early, i look at the time in my phone and noticed that it's already 3 in the morning, that's why i felt sleepy. lisa sit in the driver's side and drove away. she keeps asking me if I'm alright or comfortable. i just look at her and nod, i think I'm safe with her.

"oh I'll keep you safe alright?" shit am i thinking out loud?

"yes."

"stop cursing, ruby Jane" she laugh and look at me. "we're near at the food stall i was talking about, still care for a ramen?"

" of course" she just smiled at me.

all right, maybe I'm safe with her
