Jennie's pov
we're now already sitting in the car, jisoo is in front while the three of us stayed back seat
rosè's sitting on the left side, close to the window while lisa is on the other side and I'm in the middle, the whole ride lisa are holding my hand and I'm not complaining, from time to time we smile at each other whenever we catch ourselves looking at each other
while chae keeps noticing it and keeps subtly teasing me, while jisoo? she just keeps talking to the driver and asking him who did he vote for president
by the time we arrived at the airport, lisa helped me and chaeyoung bring our luggage from the compartment while jisoo's bag is already with her, i offered to pay the uber since they've already covered me and chae's plane ticket, don't want to be a burden
"not to be over reacting but i feel like it's been years since me and jen went on an oversea trip" rosè squeeled and i agreed
"it's true! you know, photoshoot after photoshoot. we never really had the time" i told them and look at my hand and lisa's, it's still intertwined and for the first time in my whole career, I'm not scared to have some paparazzi took a picture of us
"guys were boarding in a few minutes, want to have some coffee first?" lisa asked us after we got in the airport, there's not many people, some of them are flying to different places and some are flying domestic.
we all nodded and we proceeded to the starbucks that's standing in a few distance away from us
we all ordered some caffeine to keep us sane in this early morning, we took it to go since as lisa said, we'll be flying in a few minutes
and in just 30 minutes, we are already walking towards the entrance of the plane. stewardess greeted us, and take us to the business class
the sit have more legged room than economy as usual, some people recognize me and greeted me with a nice smile or a nod and i greeted them back, some were asking for a autograph and i gladly gave it to them
me and lisa are now standing infront of our sit while jisoo and rosè are already happily sitting in their sit, jisoo is sitting on the window side cause rosè don't want to sun hitting her eyes
"do you want to have the window sit?" lisa asked me after she put some of our bags in the compartment on top of us
"is it okay?" i asked her, she smiled at me and hold my hand to gently help me sit at the window side
my cheeks are probably red as a tomato and there's a high chance she'll see this once she look at me, i try hiding my blushing cheeks by facing the window. why the heck am i acting like a highschool student
just a few seconds, the pilot began talking about our flight before taking off
"Welcome on board. This is Captain lee henry speaking and I have some information about our flight. Our flight time today will be approximately 4 hours and our estimated time of arrival in Philippines is 8 am local time. and I'd like to welcome miss Jennie kim to our flight, please enjoy flying with us and thank you for choosing Gimhae international airport!"
rosè quickly look back to me with wide eyes and i look at her nervously, while lisa and jisoo look at each other and talking about the flight
"so the one that got away is our pilot for today?" my phone buzzed and there i saw rosè's text and i mentally face palmed myself
"he's my first boyfriend but that doesn't mean that he's the one that got away, grow up chaeyoung" i rolled my eyes and in just a second she already responded
"I'm just saying! you really love him and you guys broke up because he wanted to be a pilot so bad and he literally said he'll come back to you once he reached his dreams" i scoffed and began typing
"loved! i loved him, with a D! past tense! and please, I've already moved on"
"do you think he'll come back to you once he already knows that YOU know he's a pilot"
" please, I'd rather jump without a parachute. and I'm now praying to God that he won't talk to me after this because just the thought of it is scaring me already" she reacted a laughing emoji on my message
" don't worry, lisa's there to keep you safe"
i smile absentmindedly and look at lisa subtly and i find her looking at her phone, earphones plugged in both of her ears
she looks at me, took one of her earphones of and offer it to me
"the flight can be really loud" she told me and i nodded and took the earphone and plugged it in my ear
we are both listening to some random music until the plane began to move, planes really scares me especially if we're taking off
i grab the arm chair really tight, my eyes closed, and I'm not planning to take off my hands off the arm chair
the intro of 'i caught myself' by paramore is being played by lisa's phone and the moment the intro is being played i can feel someone holding my hand, holding it tightly but gently caressing it
i open my eyes and saw lisa, her head is resting on the head rest she looks at me and smile
"you'll be fine" she mouthed me those words and intertwined her fingers with mine, i have never been this calm in a plane before and i don't know how did she did that
she leaned in closer to me, I'm too stiff in my position all i can do is look at her with wide eyes
she began grabbing my seat belt with her other hand and making it tight for me
"see? i got you and this seatbelt, don't worry" she smiled, i feel calm and look at the beautiful sunrise beside me
i look at lisa to tell her to look at the view when i found her taking a picture of me
i look at her with shock written on my face
"hey!! I'm barefaced, let me see!" she pull her phone towards her more, not letting me see even a glimpse of it
"it's beautiful!" she tried telling me so
i keep reaching out for the phone and when i almost caught it i look at her and found our face closer than ever.
she cleared her throat and i fix my sit once again
"it's beautiful, i promise. because it's you"
I'm falling and it's scary
but I'm willing to jump off of it if lisa can catch me. the problem is, is she willing to catch me?
