Felix left Crystal to Jisung's cares and, still connected to her through their magical bond, he set out to find clues.
The situation in the capital of New World's kingdom was tense. Most of the humans, after years of anti-dragon campaigns promoted by the old king, seemed scared, hateful towards the dragon riders. They'd be denied places at taverns, bars... even get hated on in public. When Felix witnessed a scared lady turn her kid away from him only because of his elf ears, the anger he already had exploded into flames. He walked away from the markets and small streets and headed for the rich part of town. If the folk was hateful out of fear, the rich were hateful periodt. They knew the details of the Big Dragon War and still felt superior due to their victory back then. Felix didn't even want to remember those times so he turned his pointy ears to more everyday conversation, coming across interesting news.
"The prince invited us himself! It is such an honor to receive an official invitation!" a lady in a ridiculous dress said.
Felix soon learned that a ball was going to be hosted at the palace, to prepare for the prince's coronation. He even heared the lady complain, saying that the prince had invited a few elves too. Felix was surprised to hear that.
"Ever since he got that butler, it looked like he was being swayed into the dark side" the lady sniffled:"Im glad that he came back to his senses"
"He has an elf butler... that's interesting" Felix thought:
"Maybe I can gain his trust"
He moved from his spot convinced:
"I'm attending that ball tonight"
