Felix was walking to the buffet when things went south. Suddenly bells started sounding everywhere, the ball freezing in place. There was only one explaination for this:
"We've been caught" Felix thought.
"But how?" he asked himself as he moved quickly through the crowd:
"I've been careful, the prince looked like he had no clue"
As he noticed the guards piling up in front of every entrance a smile tinted his lips: maybe it was time to admit that his enemy was smarter than he thought. He ran through the forming chaos of people asking what was going on and snatched Jisung from the person he was talking to.
"It's time to go" he told his friend, exhilerated by the chase. Jisung instead looked terrified.
"Crystal" Felix called in his thoughts:
"We may or may not have been discovered. We need out"
"On it" the growl reached him instantly.
Felix ran past a group of guards, concealed by the mass of people trying to exit the palace then entered a familiar hallway. At the end, only one guard stood.
"So... it was you" he said.
Felix placed himself in front of Jisung, ready to take out his sword:
"We didn't mean any harm, I swear it" he stated.
The guard looked at them intensely then said:
"You know, I disagree with my prince's decisions too. Most of us do. The thing you should focus on is that the people agree. Remember this. Now go, quick!"
Felix and Jisung ran past him, surprised but thankful, just as the prince himself, followed by more guards entered the hallway:
"CATCH THEM! NOW!" Felix heared Hyunjin shout.
As he blocked out the memories he had on the balcony he was entering he went straight for the edge:
"WOAH WOAH WHAT ARE WE DOING!?!?" screamed Jisung.
Felix hauled them both off the balcony.
Then Crystal swooped them up with a roar, bringing them to safety.
As Hyunjin looked at the shimmering coat of Felix's ice dragon, burning anger filled his heart. He had let his guard down around a pretty elf and put himself and his friends in danger. He let out a bitter laugh as the guards looked at him like he had lost his mind:
"I will catch you, Felix. And I'll make you see stars"
He walked back in, heading for his quarters:
"Bring me Minho and Seungmin" he ordered:
"We have things to discuss"
