"Good morning" Hajiya Nafisa said to Aliyu as she walked into the ward with a smile on her face with Iman and Aiza standing besides her

"Good morning" he responded before looking at his dad and sisters giving them a smile

"Hii" they said together waving at him as he opened his arms for them making them come in for a hug

"How are you both?" He asked them as they broke the hug

"We're fine, how are you?" They said in unison

"I'm good, tell me something..." He said as he adjusted his sitting position to rest his back properly

"How are my children?" He asked

"They're all fine, if you see them now eh, they're much bigger, Maryam says they're just two month but damn they became even cuter and fatter they've sure been eating a lot" Iman said as Aliyu smile remained plastered on his face

"Especially Umaima, she's the fattest, the girl eats a lot she's sure going to be a chubby baby in no time" Aiza said as he chuckled

"I really can't wait to see them" he said as they all chuckled

"I can't wait for you to get discharged and come home everyone misses you a lot" Iman said as Aliyu smiled at her

"I'll be home in a week" Aliyu said

"Can't wait" they responded in unison as he smiled at them

"Aliyu..." His mum called making him look at her

"Na'am" he said as they all had their eyes of him confused, the Aliyu they knew would not respond and would be uninterested but he gave an attentive look listening to the woman.

"How are you?" She asked

"I'm fine mum, how are you?" He responded with a smile making all of them give him a look of bewilderment which he noticed

"What's it?" He asked looking at them

"You're being nice to mum" Aiza said

"And you called her mum" Iman said

"Yes so?, Isn't she my mum" he responded

"Yes but, you don't like her and you were never nice to her" Aiza said

"Yeah but things are different now aren't they?" He said again making them look among themselves before Hajiya Nafisa came forward to hug her son which he responded to hugging her back.

"What's going on with him?" Iman whispered to Aiza

"I have no idea but this is scary" Aiza whispered back as they chuckled while their dad just stayed silent observing the situation

"How's your health now?" Hajiya Nafisa asked Aliyu breaking the hug

"My chest still hurts a bit, but my wife would be here soon she'll make me feel better" Aliyu responded as hajiya Nafisa sighed, no denying she felt annoyed by that statement.

"Should I call the doctor instead?" She asked as Aliyu shook his head with a smile

"No, my wife does a better job than the doctors" Aliyu responded with a smile as Hajiya Nafisa nodded annoyed within but forced a smile to Aliyu just as Maryam walked into the ward

"Assalamualaikum" she said smiling as she came in with Rukkaya behind her pushing a baby walker.

"Walaikum Salam" they all responded especially Aliyu who felt instantly happy the moment he saw her.
