"They'll sure be in good hands" Farida said as Maryam smiled at her

"Thank you so much" Maryam said

"Oh c'mon, I'm just babysitting I know you'll also do this for me if I needed" she said

"Of course I would" Maryam said as they chuckled

"Alright then let's hurry before Abubakar wakes up and disturb his dad with his cries" she said as Maryam let out a small laugh

"Okay take care, bye my babies" she said as she hugged the children again

"Bye mummy" they chorused before getting into the car with Farida and driving off few minutes after that.

Watching the car drive out of her compound she released a sigh before going back into the house

"Go get ready babe" Aliyu said to her from the dinning room

"Okay, I'll be back" she said before heading off to her room.

After a few minutes she was out and they both took off the trip to her father's house, Alhaji Shehu.

Maryam is not sure on what to expect when Mukhtar told her about her father wanting to get married and what she was seeing right now will be the beginning of a new complicated problem.

It's Fatima sitting next to her dad, not close but just the right amount of space for you to know they were couples.

Her father had a wide smile on his face as the rest of them sat in confusion.

Aliyu however couldn't get his gaze off Fatima, she was also making direct eye contact with him, it's almost like she was scared and also had a smirk on her face at the same time.

'What's she up to?' the only thought going on in Aliyu's mind

After a few moments of silence Alhaji Shehu finally spoke up

"Thank you all for being here, I had something important to talk you all about and I'm glad you could make it" he started off as he looked at each and every single one of them seated

"Arman, Aliyu I invited you both here as well cause you're my son in-laws and part of this family, you hold great responsibility in the lives of my daughters and it's only right I treat you both like a son" he said

"We understand Abbah, we're happy to be here" Arman said giving the elderly man a smile before looking back at Fatima

"Alright then, I want to inform you all that I'm getting married again, for the third time, it's been two years now since my wives passed away and it's been very difficult for me, you all are now married and I'm a bit lonely so I'm taking in a new wife" he said to them before looking at Fatima giving her a smile

"This is Fatima Abubakar Sadiq, she's 26 years old and the daughter of one of the state workers, I've been seeing her now for quite sometime and now ready to tie the knots with her" he said

"Assalamualaikum" she said smiling at them

"Walaikum Salam" they all responded except Aliyu and Maryam

"You all are older than her and I know it's awkward but she's going to be the mum of this family which means you're all under her as step kids and I'm sure she'll do a good job being a good mum, right?" he said as he looked at her with a smile
