"You're sure that's what her motives are?" Farida asked

"Yes I'm very sure if not why will she bring a woman to a married man's home saying she want them to be friends and she even admitted that he needed another wife aside from me, I just don't know why she's doing all that, my husband and I have no problems together...I just can't understand why" Maryam said tiredly as she sighed afterwards

"How did Aliyu react to it?" Rukkaya asked

"He was very upset" Maryam responded

"And he sent them out of the house and warned his mum not to come back" she said again

"How did she react to that?" Manal asked

"Angry" Maryam said as she scoffed

"Very angry, she thinks I've turned her son against her" Maryam said again

"Have you reported this to your father in-law?" Farida asked

"Aliyu was on a call with him before I came here, his reporting the issue and his very upset" Maryam said

"The kids are in school right?" Manal asked as Maryam nodded

"I'll head home when I pick them up" Maryam said again

"Is Aliyu aware you're here?" Rukkaya asked

"Yes I informed him about it" Maryam said

"Then why are you ignoring his calls?" Farida asked

"I just don't know what to say to him, he keeps giving me reassuring words but his mum has been disturbing me threatening messages, I just can't deal with it" Maryam said as she sighed tiredly

"Tell Aliyu about the messages" Rukkaya said

"I can't, his going to get angry again and say something mean to her and she's just going to blame me for it and I'm not ready for any of that" Maryam responded upset

"Maryam you have to tell him about it sooner or later, you can't deal with this woman yourself you need him to help you with the issue, the worse kind of woman to deal with is a mother in-law, if she doesn't like you she never will and if you keep being quiet about it, you'll end up in a situation where you'll eventually have to let your husband marry the woman of her choice" Farida said

"That can't happen fah, me I can't share my husband with any woman, I don't even know what to do again this woman is mentally draining me, I blocked her contact and she used a different number to send me another message and she has been insulting me ever since, I just don't know what she wants from me, I can't share my husband and he doesn't want to remarry, what's her deal" Maryam said fustratedly

"I totally understand you but saying it here will make no difference, she's not here to hear you out I think you should go and speak to her one on one" Manal said

"Yeah, it's possible she's angry with you and that's why she wants her son to remarry, try making peace with her maybe she will stop this" Rukkaya added

"Is it even possible to make peace with a mother in-law?" Farida asked

"I have no idea, from all the stories I've heard none of it ended well with a mother in-law, if she doesn't like you it's for life but who knows, Allah can make anything possible" Manal said

"I don't know if all you're saying is even a good idea, I have a feeling she'll create more problems if I go to her" Maryam said

"It's better you try at least you'll have an idea on the next step to take" Rukkaya said
