"So what do you want me to get you?" Aliyu asked his wife as he adjusted his tie while she was laying on the bed.

His finally resuming work after taking his leave for two weeks, his the CEO so he could come and go whenever he wishes and has decided to continue going to the office frequently to keep an eye on the business and give his wife more space to miss him.

"You don't have to get me anything I've told you, I already have everything" she said letting a small chuckle at the end

"Oh c'mon you can't do that to me, I want to get you more things, please just tell me any random thing you want no matter how big or small it is, I'll get it for you" he said insisting as he was done and now move forward to sit next to her on the bed.

"Hmm, let me see, I don't want anything but..." She said as she gave him a mischievous grin

"Butttt..." He said smiling along with her

"Butttt if I was to want something then it's definitely those burgers from Gusto" she said as he chuckled at her words

"Fine then, if my princess wants it, she'll definitely get it" He said as he placed a peck on her cheeks before getting up

"I'll be home by 5 baby" he said before wearing his suit jacket

"What do you want me to cook for you?" She said sitting up

"Urmm, Ina so (I want)" he said in a childish manner chuckling

"Ka na so (you want)" she said chuckling along with him

"Jollof macaroni and grilled fish" he said

"Ah ah, lai lai ashe kana son jindadi (ehhen so you like enjoyment)" she said jokingly as he laughed at her words

"Ai Ina so mana (yes I like it na)" he said as she laughed at him

"Don't worry I'll prepare it for you ko" she said smiling at him

"Nagode baby, I can't wait to come home" he said as he went to hug her

"Me too, I'll miss you" she said as she kissed him

"That's what I want" he said as he kissed her back

"I'll be home on time okay love" he said as she nodded

"Okay love, I'll walk you down" she said as she helped carry his bag with both of them walking downstairs and then outside the house

"Bye baby" he said pecking her

"Bye love" she responded before waving at him as he got into his car driving out before she went back inside.

Sighing she sits on the couch turning on the TV watching her favorite show when her phone buzzed getting her attention

She checks it to see a WhatsApp message from an unknown number, curiously she checks it and responded only for her to find out it's her mother in-law

Maryam's POV💕

I wonder why Aliyu's mum was sending me a message and what surprises me more is the fact that she was being nice and friendly.

She's definitely up to no good, Aliyu told me about her last visit and told me not to let her into the house ever again.

I'm just too suspicious of her nice attitude and so it didn't surprise me when she asked me of Aliyu's whereabouts.

I immediately texted Aliyu telling him about it but unfortunately his inactive, I remembered him telling me he doesn't use his phone when his at work so I should just call if I needed anything but I'm sure he must be yet to settle down by now so I can't call him
