2 weeks Later

It's been 2 weeks and everything was only becoming worse for Aliyu, his wife has finally regained consciousness but she isn't saying a word to him. She underwent treatment and is now out of danger and is currently healing.

To Maryam it felt like her world ended with what she saw, just that 2 minutes of what she set her eyes on ended her world and completely broke her apart.

Her husband being intimate with another woman, what she feared the most happened and she couldn't do anything about it.

Everyone has told her Aliyu had been set up but to her his been having an affair and keeping it a secret away from her.

As much as she could feel her hatred for him growing inside her heart she still couldn't bring herself to hate him as much as she want to, she's currently suffering from temporary paralysis and as a result of that she can't move her legs and hands except her neck and head.

Aliyu has tried so many times to get conversations with her but she never said a word to him, she does speak to the other family members but with Aliyu it's different, her father explained everything to her so did her father in-law but her thoughts still remained the same, Aliyu has been cheating with Fatima all this while behind her back.

Though his wife won't say a word to him, Aliyu understands the woman so well his sure she has the idea that he cheated. He couldn't blame her for it, it happened with Alayna once in the past and now it's happening with Fatima.

Anger and depression is what's building up inside of him, depressed about the fact that his wife will speak to everyone except him, depressed about that fact that she'll look at everyone and refused to lay her eyes on him and angry about the fact that his so called mother and the woman he hated the most were responsible for all this and he couldn't do anything to them.

It's a difficult time as well for their kids, they're not getting the proper love and care from their father and they couldn't be with their mother either.

They've been brought to the hospital several times after school to see their mum and all they end up doing is crying cause she couldn't hold them and complaining that their dad won't speak to them.

No one in the family could blame Aliyu for anything, his world did revolve around his wife and now it felt like living was difficult.

On the other hand Fatima isn't fully recovered but the moment she regained consciousness Hajiya Nafisa dragged her and threw her out of the house, it's by God's grace Alhaji Shehu was there in time and with that he took Fatima home.

He sent the doctors there as well to make sure they continue the treatment but didn't tell her family anything that happened.

He has completely lost feelings for Fatima but he wasn't heartless enough not to help her, his plan was to make sure she's fully recovered before confronting her about any of the things she's done and then calling off the marriage afterwards.

Her family were of course tensed on what must have happened to her but she made a lie saying she was abused by some street thugs that wanted to rape her but luckily someone came to help her.

Fatima was still deceived by the fact that she could conceive with Aliyu's baby, she felt humiliated when Hajiya Nafisa threw her out of the house but when Alhaji Shehu came to help her out it was a different feeling.
