Chapter 3

Carinas pov:

"Well what are we supposed to do now Carina?" Maya said, putting her fingers on the bridge of her nose. She was referring to the little girl sitting on our couch, I snuck her home. I couldn't let her go, she needed me, she was mine.  "Wait what.." she said when I told her my plans. "Carina, are you serious?" She said with a small smile creeping onto her lips. I just nodded my head.

She slowly moved over to me and pulled me to my feet. "I was thinking the exact same thing." She giggled. "Yeah?" I said raising my eye brows. "Yeah" she smiled widely before pulling me into a kiss.

Mayas pov:

"Oh my god." I said pacing around our small living room. "Bella calm down, it's gunna be ok." Carina said trying to snap me out of my panic.  "But the home visit to today and we have to make sure everything is safe for her, make sure she has what she needs-"

"Bella, stop. Everything is going to be okay." She said putting her hands on my shoulders. "Well, what if she doesn't want to stay with us after all?" I said watching the soft expression on her face change anxiously. "I don't know Bella, I think she'd-" Carina was cut off by soft sobs coming from the couch behind us. "Oh bambina" Carina said rushing to her side. "What is it love?" I asked her kindly. "You don't w-want me.." she chocked out. "No no no Bella of course we want you. We didn't know if you had other plans." Carina said, gently rubbing her shoulders. Carina then opened her arms wide for the small girl, giving her a deep hug. She looked at me and mouthed "the social worker will be here soon". I nodded, leaving to check everything one last time.

Carinas pov:
We sat there, just embracing each other for the longest time until we heard a knock at the door. The small brunette jumped at the noise. "Shh Bella, it's just the social worker." I said, reassuring she shaken up girl in my arms. "Maya?" I called. "Coming!" She yelled back practically running down the hall. "Hello, I'm Maya" she said opening the door with a small smile on her face. "Hi, I'm Leanna" the blonde giggled back at Mayas nervous attempt at a first impression. "Uhm. Come in" Maya said awkwardly. Eleanor picked up on the tension, "can I go to the room.." she whispered pointing to her soon to be room. "Go ahead Bella" I smiled.

"Sooo.. all the requirements look good!" Leanna said excitedly. "But I have to go over some things you'll  have to do while caring for her.like school, wellness checks.." the list went on and on. I glanced over at Maya, she had her eyebrows furrowed. I gently patter her on the knee and continued our conversation. "I think everything looks good! I'll be back in about 2 weeks to see how we're doing. Sound good?" Leanna said. Maya looked at me helplessly at a loss for words. "Sounds good!" I said excitedly. "See you!" She bubbly girl said, showing herself out. "Maya?" I said turning around. She was crying.

Not the greatest chapter 😅, tbh I'm not really liking any of these chapters ☹️. But I'm gunna keep trying?please lmk any ideas for this story, I'm not really Sure about it just yet! 🙂
