Beth and Annie were waiting patiently downstairs as I tried to stitch up the stranger's wound. Not like I had a choice. We all drew straws on who would stay with the guy and I pulled the short one. Just my fucking luck.

The only thing I'm glad of is that this guy is out like a light, still breathing. I had to sterilize the wound and feel around to get the bullet out. Ruby asked me, before she left home, if I knew what I was doing. Of course, I don't. I'm not a fucking doctor. The closest thing I've done with anything medical was super gluing Finn's cut shut when we were younger after he fell from a tree. I've seen enough Grey's Anatomy to know how to sow a bullet hole shut...hopefully. Don't copy everything you see on TV, kids.

"I'm never doing this again," I muttered as I tried not to gag at the squishing sound his side was making while finishing up his stitches. I grabbed the clean gauze and wiped the blood that was out of the wound. My nose cringed when I tossed the gauze in the trash. "They owe me big time for this." After finishing up, I wiped the remaining blood off his skin before placing another gauze over the stitches and taped it up. I got up and took my gloves off, unaware of the man slowly waking behind me. "Stupid job. Fuck, I should have made Beth do this." The man glared behind my head as he quietly got off the bed and grabbed the gun from the nightstand. "Her idea. She can play doctor."

I felt my hair being pulled back before my body was forced back to the dresser. My side hit the corner before I crashed to the ground. Oh, shit. Oh, shit. Oh, shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. I got up and ran over to the man as he tried to run out before tackling him to the floor.

"Beth! Annie!" I shouted. The man elbowed my nose. "Son of a bitch!" I tried to grab the man's shoulders but he kept thrashing around. "Hey, hey, hey!"

He used his weight to turn us around so he's on top of me now. He quickly got up and pulled his gun out, aiming it at my head as Beth, Annie, and Ruby - didn't know she returned- rushed inside the room.

"Oh, my god!" Annie shouted.

"Where am I?" the guy asked me. I froze. The gun pointed right at my head wasn't helping. He cocked the gun and held it closer. "Where am I?!"

"My house," Beth answered as she shook. "You're in my house."

The man's attention was on Beth now. "Who are you?"

"I'm a friend of your friend's. He thought that you would be safe here. Perrie was just stitching you up...so you wouldn't get an infection." Seeing that the guy was distracted, Ruby rushed over and helped me up.

"You ok, Perrie?" she asked.

I nodded and said, "Yeah." I covered my mouth as I tried not to gag. "I'm still thinking about the blood."

"You love watching blood and gore but when it comes to real-life blood, you get queasy."

"Yeah, because that shit is fake."

"I need a car," the guy spoke. He pointed the gun at Beth. "Give me your car keys."

"Do you understand that we actually saved -" Annie tried to point out but it made the guy furious.

He pointed the gun at all of us. "Give me the keys! Now!"

She nodded while holding back her tears. "Ok, I'm sorry."

"I took the bus! I took the bus!" Ruby rushed out.

"Mine's in the shop!" I lied as Annie tried taking her keys out.

"I have really weak nails. I can't get it off!" she cried.

Beth stayed calm. "Ok, downstairs," she said. "On the counter. Just take it."
