"Okay it's about time to pick Layla up and then we will go to the grocery store. I am going to show you how to make barbecue chicken, a melody of vegetables, and homemade mashed potatoes."

"I would really like that,"

Ben opened the car door for her and she got inside of his BMW. Material things did not move her but she thought that it was a nice car. It didn't really seem kid-appropriate though.

The car seat in the back was Disney princess-themed. She was curious to see what his daughter looked like. She had never seen his wife, so she knew the daughter would have some of her features.

What Miranda didn't like about his house was the lack of pictures.

When Ben got inside she turned to him with questioning eyes.

"Yes?"

"Why don't you have any pictures of you and your wife or your daughter throughout the house?"

"All the pictures are in the album."

"That didn't really answer my question."

"I'm not sure." He admitted.

"After these two months, you should. When people walk into your home. It should feel warm and you should be able to see the love radiating off of the walls."

"I will keep that in mind."
Ben pulled up to the school, the whole way there he listened to Miranda's voice as she sung to the radio.

"You have a beautiful voice, were you in chorus?"

"Thanks and No, I was in the band in school but I was also in the church choir."

"I can see it,"

"You can see me being in the band?"

"Yes, the uniform and all. I know you really enjoyed it. When I was in high school I was on the football team but the band was so hype, deep down I wanted to join."

"What would you have wanted to play?"

"The percussions of course, what did you play?"

"That's a typical answer, I should have known and I played the oboe,"

"Oboe, I have never seen that before."

"It's just like a clarinet but it's mouthpiece is different. It's straight up and the reed is pointed."

"That sounds like a hazard when marching."

"It is that's why, I couldn't use it during marching. I had to play my clarinet for those times."

He finally parked after waiting in the long line.
"Can you grab that pink card out of my glove compartment,"

Miranda did as told and handed it to Ben. "I'll be right back."

Ben made his way to the pick-up section. He saw his daughter and smiled brightly when she walked over.

"Hi Dr. Warren," the woman said with a wave.

"Hey, how are you?" Ben greeted.

"It's been great,"

"I wanted to add a person to Layla's contact pick-up. Can I do that?"

"Sure, I will go get the forms and just put them in Layla's folder and we will get that taken care of,"

After the Teacher came back with the forms, she handed them to Ben before telling them to have a good day. "Did you have a good day pumpkin?"

"Yes, it was fun,"

"Well, what did you learn today?"

"We write our first and last name!"
