"You ready?" Miranda asked Ben as she put her purse on her shoulder.
"Yeah," Ben responded putting his wallet in his pocket.
"What about you pumpkin?" She voiced turning to Layla.
"I am ready...look" she called out to Miranda.
Miranda watched as she pushed her front tooth with her tongue and could clearly see the huge wiggle. "Oh wow, the tooth fairy is getting ready to come. I could take it out for you," Miranda suggested.
"Yup with a string and a door knob," Ben smirked.
"What does that do?" Layla asked.
"We would tie the string around your tooth and the other side to the doorknob and slam the door and it will come right out."
Layla winced and looked horrified. "We will do no such thing." Miranda quickly interjected and hit Ben on the back of the neck as hard as she could.
"You're father is just being silly and joking." She added glaring at him. "We can let it fall out naturally, which will probably be while you are eating or I can just pull it. It won't hurt. My mom used to take mine out all the time. She wore gloves and because it was already so loose it just came right out with a small pull."
"Okay," she smiled nervously.
"Go ahead and walk to the car," Miranda smiled.
"Must you be like that? You have a daughter Benjamin. This is not Tuck. Who I'm sure would have found that fascinating. Do better. I'm not always going to be around to clean up your words."
Ben frowned at her last sentence. "I wasn't trying to be gruesome. I thought she would have found that cool. Using a string didn't hurt me one bit growing up."
"Come on let's go. We have to get Tuck," Miranda said grabbing his hand and walking to the car.
Ben opened the door for her and Miranda got situated. "Did you buckle up honey?"
"Yes,"
Ben arrived at Miranda and Tucker's apartment complex. Miranda called Tucker and told him she was outside.
They watched as Tucker came out of the door with Tuck right beside him, his overnight bag on his shoulder.
"I'll be right back," Miranda said getting out. She walked over to them and Tuck smiled. "Hi, Mommy,"
"Hi my handsome man," she chimed.
"You aren't going to say hey to your real husband," Tucker asked and Miranda eyed him as she hugged Tuck.
"You know I was getting to you next...Hello Tucker Jones. It's good to see you face to face."
"It's good to see you, Miranda. You look good. You lost weight?" He questioned looking her up and down before pulling her into a hug.
Ben rolled his eyes and turned his head to look somewhere else but at that. He felt a burning sensation in his chest and it made him uncomfortable.
"Thanks and yeah. The rest of my pregnancy weight and then 10 more pounds on top of that."
"What are you all doing over there?"
"We work out together. It was what Ashleigh and her husband did every morning." Miranda explained.
"Oh okay, maybe we can do that together when you come back home."
Miranda nodded. "She doesn't work out now?"
"She does, I don't participate though,"
"So what you just watch?" Miranda asked raising an eyebrow.
