Tonya's POV
"She was my true love, Mike!" Randy exclaims, almost sounding as if he were about to cry. "Man, she said "hi" to you and that's it," Michael told him, making me chuckle. These guys were really some characters.
I looked out of the window, admiring the view as we rode down the road in the tour bus. I couldn't stop thinking about all the events that had happened since I'd been with Marlon and his brothers. I mean, really, it felt surreal, like I was in a movie or something. I never knew life could be this exciting.
I looked at Marlon, seeing him laugh and joke around with his brothers. He's so handsome. I never thought I'd fall for my best friend, but here we are. It seems like only yesterday we were just little kids who were just friends, now I think it's something more. Or maybe.. have we always had these feelings for each other and just never knew it?
I see Marlon take a second to glance at me and smile. It fills me with butterflies and I shyly grin back at him.
"Aren't y'all excited for the show? This is gonna be our first one with Tonya taggin' along," Marlon speaks up, and his brothers either nod or make sounds of agreement in unison.
"Yeah, just try not to make out the whole time," Michael teases, looking in Marlon and I's direction. I feel my cheeks growing warm.
"I don't know if they'll be able to do that," Jackie jokes, nudging Marlon's shoulder who rolls his eyes in playful annoyance.
"Yeah, whatever, man. Y'all are weird. Y'all just jealous 'cause I got a girl best friend and y'all don't," Marlon sticks his tongue out like a little kid at them, making me laugh.
I watched as the brothers went on in a playful teasing banter for a while, and my eyes wondered over to Jermaine, realizing he wasn't saying much at all. I'd see him chuckle every now and then, but every time Marlon would interact with me or I'd laugh at a joke of his, Jermaine's smile would drop.
I mean, it was obvious that he liked me from what happened at his mother's house, but was he really upset that I didn't share the same feelings as he did? I mean, he's kind of a player, so he should have tons of other girls to choose from.
It's really a him problem that he's all upset, but I still can't help but feel like it's a little bit my fault. Did he feel like I was leading him on? Does he even know that I like his brother? It's weird. I think Jermaine's a cool guy, handsome even, but I could never see him in a romantic way.
"Nah, 'cause let's talk about Marlon and Tonya and the other night," Michael's voice interrupted my thoughts, and I started to grow a little nervous. Did he see Marlon and I kiss..? I thought it was too dark to see.
I watched as Marlon swallowed in apprehension, still trying to remain his goofy self. "W-What're are you talkin' about, man?" he asks, an audible stutter in his voice.
"You know, Marlon. I saw y'all," Michael giggles mischievously, making me even more nervous.
